Today is the deadline for completing 2 matches. Out of 5 players yet to complete 2 matches, only 1 is facing replacement (solly) unless I can get a hold of him and confirm he will be able to complete the remainder of his matches. The other 4 have either messaged me or I've investigated and seen they are still likely to complete their matches by the deadline of Sep. 25.

Note: remember, only the top 2 from each pool advance to the playoffs!

Just to add to that.I've lost 3 and won 1.

In my spreadsheet, I mistakenly assigned the split series between Brindlebane/Peterabb to Macsen/Peterabb. Will make alteration to standings in the morning.

I was lucky in both games. In the first one, Cunningcairn's Irish LH inexplicably forgot how to loot a camp, which would have given him victory or at least a draw.

Irishmen not knowing how to loot properly must surely count as the most bizarre and unhistorical result ever in FOG!

Peter won both initiatives and set up on nice hills to defend. Those of you who know me know I don't do draws or defense. In both games I chose one end of Peters line to attack and fought my way uphill and turned his flank, which is easier with the Free company with the better cav although Pete will agree hobilars can be a real pain

Yuknoom's Welsh 49/53 defeat Cunningcairn's Swedes 37/37.

A key game for the pool came down to a nailbiting finish. His turn - I need 3 pips he needs 11 but he's turned the flank. He picks up 6 real quick, then runs into some bad luck and the Welsh barely hold on.
