I think that's all that is needed. It seems to almost be under the units, rather than above it. It does require two taps, and. I've gotten used to tapping elsewhere on the battlefield to deselect (tapping the repair button twice is always good).

I wonder, would it be possible to have it that when you press hold on the screen, that it hides all the units and shows just the terrain and fortifictions? That's very handy in Shenandoah's Crisis in Command games, and checking for fortification levels and river lines and railway junctions etc would be easier with a quick "hide the units" command.

I'm up to June 1915 now, still having a blast. The only real issue I still have is how quick it rips through the AI turn. Maybe it's just a bit of lag on my original iPad Mini, but it will swap to and from smaller battles so quickly that I cannot tell what happened until I scout around at the start of my turn. I would dearly love a slowed down version so I could take it all in.

As to gameplay, that's solid as hell. Did learn the hard way that landing some English troops near Basra was a suicide mission. Thought I would grab Kuwait and have some supply from that, but landed, was instantly out of supply, and well three infantry divisions lost in the sand. Is there any way to successfully attack from that corner?

Also, the only thing I'm unsure of is how to hunt subs. You need to start the turn next to then to attack, so they have the constant advantage unless they choose to stick around and fight.

Being able to see the rivers would be lovely! When they are on the current territory bounderies they are virtually impossible to see.

How are people finding multiplayer? I get the feeling the slitherine servers are under a heavy load right now as I'm having difficulty connecting to multiplayer and the forum, that's understandable and acceptable. However the one multiplayer turn I received didn't send me a push notification. Obviously my sample size is as small as you can get, but have others experienced this?

Hi guys,

Don`t forget to put up your ratings and hopefully positive reviews on iTunes and help to spread the news.

I am at turn 31/118 on the great campaign and it freezes every time on AI 'deciding moves' in the Serbian theater. Restarted multiple times, no change. Super frustrating.

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature: as the Entente, I reconquered all of Belgium, but there was never a morale boost; it's still in the red. PP is at +2, and only after demolishing my labs (otherwise it was at -2). Will they not come back as a power of any significance?

*edit* Belgium's production and morale are improving turn-by-turn. All's well on the Western Front.

I've just hit exactly the same problem, with an endless wait around turn 31 or so. Left it running for a solid 90 minutes before I gave up on it.

Your second link is kind of worthless for us iPad users, it's entirely about accessing PC log files etc.

Hi see here and please make a separate thread in the tech forum here:

How to obtain files from an iPad is also clearly on top in the appropriate tech forum, but here is a direct link for in case you missed it:

I am glad to see that Commander - The Great War has finally been released for the iPad and on Steam (PC only) but I am still waiting for some word about a Mac release. Is a Mac version still in the pipeline or is it useless to wait any longer? It would be nice to know if those of use who prefer non-ipad gaming only need to be a bit more patience for the promised Mac release.

I'm worried that the AI is stuck in an infinite loop. It's been "Deciding moves..." (cycling between two and four dots) for 10+ minutes. Yeah, some turns are long, but never this long. Quitting and reloading didn't change the result. I'm going to try reloading, doing something different, and then ending the turn.

*edit* just found the tech support forum and it sounds like a fix is making its way through Apple's approval process :D

Yes, the fix is coming, it is already available in Steam as a Beta, we prepare PC, Steam an Apple patches.

PC and Steam we can release immediately, but iPad need to go through Apple approval, so will be a few days behind.

I'm hoping for a Mac version as well. Playing it on my iPad, but will happily purchase the Mac version as well. ::fingerscrossed::

A Mac version, possibly... technically it is no problem, will depend a bit on if time and resources are made available or not and if it is economically worth it.
