they are top market no afence but if you where to beat them then you would be top-dogs and could get more people to work on it and stay there
it would also be good to see a bit of both in to each over

Personally I am a fan of Legion Arena and am looking forward to some on-line battles.
Its the command and control system that does it for me. Generals should not be able to do anything and everything they want.
BTW I sold RTW 2 weeks after I got it.

the only thing that lets RTW down isit's not modderable enough and the computers intelligents
the way people I've heard want legion areana improved are better graphics and better all round I must admit it like playing MTW again if legion arena was out then there would be compertision

Sorry I cannot see the improvement in graphics needed - if you zoom in to see the action, the little men are great. One of problems with graphics is that they need better computer systems to run on, limiting the number of people who can run the games. However improvements in game play, while invisible, appeal to people who like strategy games and can be handled by older computers.
Don't worry about how it sellls compared to other games. Thats for Slitherine to bother about

yeah but thats the thing is if CA has no compertision they will not have to bother as much on there games so they will become bad games
it's always good to have a health compertision
and it's always good to have a good choose of games like there's

Sorry whats CA? Should I care that they don't make good games?
You are quite right, its nice to have good games and as customers we make the choice to buy. Different folks like different things, so no matter how good Grand Theft Auto (for example) is going to get, I ain't going to buy.

Thanks for the info - I have not noticed who made the Total War system. I played it for a while but it never really grabbed me. They did well by having a TV programme in the UK (Time Commanders) using the game engine and then for some reason they dropped the ball and had some sort of weird campaign system in the game when it came out.
Well just put it down to most things in life, a business not getting the product right for the customers.
Does seem strange the idea of trying to help the Total War crowd by discussing it on a Legion Arena forum. Best off (in my opinion) chatting to them direct.

RTW's graphics are cool when zoomed in, but when you zoom out (=99% of the time you'll be playing the game) it hardly looks much better then MedievalTW. I find it a bit disappointing that RTS developers try to make uber detailed units models leaving no room for detailed terrain features (grass, little bushes and rocks, ...) when zoomed out. Age of Empires 3 is a good example of how an RTW game should look on normal camera height.

Ran the Age of Empires III demo. Its the same old Age of Empires with better graphics. I will give it a miss.
