OK, fair enough, I was just putting up a thought bubble as the game wound to a conclusion. Speaking of which, here are the scores for two very close games ...

Londo 10
Rex 9.6
Towton
Londo (Lancaster) 81/87 beat Ian (York) 78/78
Londo 10
Ian 9.3

we need one player to replace rex for round 2. you don't have to be able to download scenarios. there are only 3 games to play.

chris if you want to replay rex's first round games concurrently so you can experience both sides, let us know.
we'll use the whole month of july for round 2 as i'm taking it easy for the summer. but don't play one game after the other.

Towton is one of those horrible battles, like the Somme and Stalingrad, that almost make one think war is a bad thing!

not happy with the rolls (leader dying in the first turn is becoming a nasty habit) but happy with the simulation. it happened exactly as it should, the prolonged fighting along the entire frontline with reserves coming up to plug the holes until the great collapse, down to the casualties count of 16000 lancastrians vs 11000 yorkists (most accounts gave between 25000 and 30000 overall). a thrilling history lesson.
