Towton is one of those horrible battles, like the Somme and Stalingrad, that almost make one think war is a bad thing!

not happy with the rolls (leader dying in the first turn is becoming a nasty habit) but happy with the simulation. it happened exactly as it should, the prolonged fighting along the entire frontline with reserves coming up to plug the holes until the great collapse, down to the casualties count of 16000 lancastrians vs 11000 yorkists (most accounts gave between 25000 and 30000 overall). a thrilling history lesson.
