No problem Ponepilos :-) (for the FX buttons, it's for the future "sort" buttons, best something, oldest, in training, free of all, assigned, etc...)

From my opinion:
Firing staff is not a common task, I use it one time..., a specific button for each person is not needed, a simple screen mixed in the recruiting screen will do the trick (and it's easier to see the available persons and the current employees at the same time...).

Scrolling bar is really a need, as BASPM is schedule for portable device, it will be a shame to not use this functionality supported by all mobile device. Same for the computer.

As people life is not always working, training or wasting time... the dismiss button could be replace by the "normal" training... cheaper... tasks that give moral, fame, money... Like holidays, social events, politics rendez-vous, etc...

I would prefer a more "60's" set of graphics for the GUI, replacing only the background by a 60's monitor from the control room take no time, it could be great, same for the mission screen...

Hello,

I like the new screen, its quite an improvement over the current implementation.

In my view, even better is the nico7550 version, it seems to me there is adequate space to include "Send to Traning" and "Dismiss" buttons for each individual with the sanity check "Are You Sure You Want to Do This?" included for the "Dismiss" button.

Notice that the screen I posted in this thread was actually based on a design that Nico originally provided :)

I'm planning to upload SPM 0.7.24 tonight. Even though I didn't manage to implement the new screen layout, you will find lots of improvements that will make personnel management a lot simpler (e.g., the paginator works correctly now, the scrollbar will no longer reset to the top, etc).

Cheers,

I've just tried version 0.7.26 and must say personel filtering and sorting in upper panel is indeed great progress,
but I have still some objections.
The lower panel titled "Department Management" is not so useful and should be hiddable.
Maybe should you add hide/show button for this panel.

Glad you liked the changes :)

I cannot promise I'll be able to implement your suggestion before release, but we'll certainly add it to the backlog and see if it can be included in a patch post-release.

Cheers,

Thanks for kind response but sorry
once more.
The filter buttons are two-state and this is good solution.
The sorting button should be three-state because you have three states: unsorted/ascended/descended.
If you wish to use a backgroud colour to distinguishe between sorted ascended and descended use two different colors (or maybe different background icon).

Remember that typical and understandable GUI uses:
grey and bright icon for filter off and on,
sorting icons with up and down arrows.
