Multiplayer for me - some opponents will challenge you and some not so much - I like both - variety is the spice of life as they say. Single player normally (90% of the games) the AI just can't challenge or vary its tactics enough to keep it interesting.
I vary my game play - in scenario's I play more than once - I like to try what if tactics - yes this results in losses - but I like to play interesting opponents who comment on our games - single player is just boring turn after turn - usually of the same old moves. However - I don't care to play players who also use scripted moves playing the same scenario over and over just to win (I can play the computer if I want stupid same moves same builds ((dulls-ville)). Once I play a player who does the same thing in two games of the same scenario - I will usually just surrender and move on.

Multiplayer is cool but it takes so long. I find it's best played against someone you know.

I am really more into single player but have been thinking about getting some multiplayer time in as well if I can find another entry level person or person(s) willing to give it a go like me.

I don't want anything that takes months to play. I'd really prefer a tcpip game vs PBEM as well. I want something we can finish in a play session not take forever to play. This was one reason I quit playing multiplayer because all the games that were coming out were long session games. Is Battle Academy or Battle Academy II tcpic multiplayer? Or is it PBEM only?

If you're interested send me a pm and suggest a game if I am interested I will get back to you asap. Remember keep it short and sweet like Empire was back in the 80's. Greatest game ever made I think. Strong ai and simple and easy to learn and you could make small maps and play against 5 expert ai's. That's what we need again today.

I always like multiplayer.
Because by choosing multiplayer we play in unity.
We understand how to deal.
So i like multiplayer.

I guess that makes me a nitwit because I have trouble beating the AI in the computer games that I have, BA, BA2, BASPM, Panzer Corps, FOG. The couple of times I have gone MP, I get crushed. Oh Well, still love playing them.

bumble410 - Don't give up on multiplayer it will become the best way to play. I recommend when you try your next multiplayer game put in description - that you are looking for someone else with little experience\novice also.
I have played Panzer Corp and all the previous version of Panzer General etc... Yet, I play at a medium level - no expert by far. Mainly by choice - I could keep stats on each scenario - like which units work best in the scenario despite the ratings of the unit and if the weather stays rainy a lot so don't purchase many air units etc... But, I just like to play the game - I move a unit sometimes knowing it may not be a good idea (may run into an enemy unit and suffer a ambush\surprise attack). I personally do not like to play players who use set win all the time tactics - it takes the fun out of playing a scenario. This is why I like to play new people to multiplayer - they will many times try something different from an experienced player - giving the scenario a different flare\challenge. In any case keep on playing - its a great game!!

PBEM or this online thing Slitherine has setup just takes too long. I prefer TCPIP games if I can find them and then and only then will I play multiplayer. But, for the most part I'm a single solo player as well. Only wish the computer ai's were better than they are.

Single player mainly, but I would be happy to try PBEM when I have had some more campaign practice with Pike and Shot and Thirty Years War
