Manstein is widely considered perhaps the greatest strategic mind of the war, bar none. And Chuikov, well, his legendary determination to cling to the banks of the Volga despite wave after wave of Wehrmacht attack speaks for itself.
Also regarding the industrial chart, I'd add an Axis increase in February of '43 to coincide with Germany's declaration of total war. It was at that point in time that the German economy was fully mobilized for the first time.

'43 is very late in the scenario for the Axis to get more industries. By then they will either be struggling, or have most of Europe under their belt.

I've come up with this to be the campaign selection button for the 1936 start:

Units start appearing tomorrow.

I'm sure it will be a great mod - I just find the name a bit irritating. I mean, "the path to rearmament" would suggest it deals primarily with the time before the outbreak of WWII? Not the war until 45...
Just my 2 cents of course, and a rather minor issue anyway, as long it's fun to play

The reason I named it such was because no other mod starts in '36, so it shows the point of difference.

As they were historically. Struggling
and with most of Europe under their belt.

Interesting ideas:
Zeppelins - everyone needs one some time!
Also, would people like certain "forts" to be built following certain events - like the forts around Moscow, Mareth Line in Tunisia, etc.?

GC 14 is hoping for a release in a few weeks, so it has gained my focus for now. This mod hasn't been forgotten though!

Yes, I like the idea. To be honest, I was disappointed with how Eben Emael was 'demoted' to mere strongpoint status in the vanilla game. Especially considering it was one of the strongest forts in the world at the time. So imagine my surprise to discover its stats were the same as any run-of-the-mill strongpoint.
As for the campaign selection graphic, I love the Stuka. The only thing I would do is elevate the '1939' so it's not touching the canopy. That and increase the border between the nine and the right edge. Nice selection though.

There is a special Eben-Emael unit in PzC, which appears slightly tougher than the standard strongpoint. It will still only be 1 hex though (which is pretty large for a small fort). - This was going to be there anyway however. I was talking more about fortification terrain being placed on certain hexes should the need arise.
At this stage, the zones are planned to be something like this:
1 - Germany
2 - Berlin
3 - Rome
4 - British Isles
5 - London
6 - Warsaw
7 - France
8 - Paris
9 - Prague
10 - Munich
11 - Stalingrad
12 - Kuybyshev
13 - "Ostland" (roughly the shape Leningrad-Vitebsk-Pripet Marshes-Brest-Courland-Leningrad)
14 - Ukraine (approx modern day borders)
15 - Russia east of Ostland and Ukraine
16 - Caucasus
17 - Cairo
18 - Area around Stalingrad
19 - Egypt
20 - Libya
21 - Italy
22 - Norway
23 - Sweden
24 - The Netherlands
25 - Portugal
26 - Spain
27 - Poland
28 - Yugoslavia
29 - Turkey
30 - ?
31 - ?
32 - ?
Not sure if I will need to use zones 30-32, can't think of anything that would go there. Note that the Rhineland, Memel and Austria aren't zones - these are scrpited to be flag changes at their historical times, so I don't need to set the AI up to attack them. Czechoslovakia I am still undecided about.
Can't find a good pic for the 1941 and 1944 scenarios.

Been thinking about the commanders/generals - what unit graphic should I use? I was thinking the Opel truck for Germans and BA-10s for the Russians, but not sure.
Any ideas?

Even with GC '14 stealing most of my time, I have (finally!) managed to finish the map and the campaign selection screen (not units etc. yet tho).

Nice to see it starting to take shape.
As for the generals, I've got a few ideas that I'm currently working on, but nothing that's quite ready at this point. (As you seem to be thinking along the lines of transports, maybe a good staff car would do the trick? I seem to recall seeing one not too long ago)...
Or maybe I was just thinking of the Horch?

Great to see you're excited - this is a much bigger project than GC 14, so it won't be ready for a looooooong time. During that we might as well discuss some stuff that's going in.
About the staff cars, I need a graphic that can be used by all nations, since I'm only adding 1 commander unit that's used by all the majors.
Now to puzzle you by this graphic of Moscow and surrounds...

- MoscowCanal.JPG (163.69 KiB) Viewed 3727 times
The hook-shaped canal is represented the same way as in the vanilla campaign where it runs most of the way around Moscow. Also is featured like this to give Moscow more defensive power (it works as a river), and also because there's no graphic that makes it go from the north-west immediately north.

30 - Basra
31 - Czechoslovakia
32 - Belgium

After an Armed company of storm troopers visited my HQ in 1914, they brought me forwards in time to help write some more briefings (yes they have time travel technology)

You'll be able to do it... when the scenario is more than a map and 5 morale units that don't work yet! It may take me a couple months though.
