Although I've recently stated to enjoy Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun Having played the first Shogun total war a lot never cared for Shogun 2

I have a special love for World war 2. All the budding military technologies creating very different types of tanks & planes coupled with the general love people had of war back then were perfect conditions for wonderful warfare.

And medieval times are also awesome. Many hundreds of years of creativity in many ways especially construction. Plus the lovely wars with armor, melee weapons, bows, slings and siege engines up until guns dampened the fun.
