One thing that I hope is still on the table is a major improvement for the game's "moddir" function to eliminate the need to use GME while still allowing an easy usage of any moddable game file (not only data files) in a customized version without further hassle.

I guess the devs have a lot on their plate, and there is probably no shortage of requests, but IMO this would really be a blessing for quite a number of modders and players.

It would be great to have a revisited, extended original PC campaign, utilizing the new features introduced in AK, AC plus adding a few North Africa scenarios.

I think the priority should now be on the patch, then iOS/Mac versions, then Soviet Corps, before and old content is touched again. I also think that people would be far more interested in further grand campaign DLCs than in revisiting the original campaign which was always basically just a remake of the original Panzer General.

I think a Russian Corps would be great.

I have done some snooping around in the game files, and have seen a red star icon that would appear under the allies symbol. This must mean Soviet Corps 2014!!!!!!!!

Going with the ww1 idea -> "Kaiser's Corps" :) - If you are decisive enough in 1914 then you can take Paris early on (with further possibilities being beating the Russians or France moving capital to Bordeaux)

WW1 wasn't just about trenches!

I still don't see that happening. I mean what are the units supposed to be? Take PzC and cut out all self propelled units on tracks and most units in the air... what's left is Infanty, Cavalry and Artillery. Even if you give them a variant for every year that still makes for a very boring scenario. I dunno. The easter front maybe. But even then... I think CTGW is a better game to represent WW1. PzC is built around modern armored warfare. If anything it should move into the future. Korean war, Isrealian independent war, anything were armor can be used. Even the chinese civil war would be crap as a scenario really. If anything in the past then MAYBE the spanish civil war and maybe the soviet war against the fins but even that was pretty much just a stalemate...

I'd love to see a Korean War though :) or a "NATO or Warsaw Pact Corps" would be hella fun

Mid Evil Knights or American Civil War if we want a change of pace.

How about breaking down some of the DLCs to more set campaigns.Normandy battles,Market Garden,Italy,Bulge.Plenty of scope there for all the battles involved,The DLCs touched them but there's definately room for more.

Like Keldor said, PzC is geared for a collaboration between infantry and armor. We have to leave everything pre WWII to the commander games!

This is what I'm hoping for - set in 1980ish for example.

I see the Flashpoint game in the shop but hate the graphics tbh.

I second this: I'm planning to buy the GC mega pack because I prefer the smaller scale of the scenarios compared to the "original" scenarios. Especially pivotal battles like Normandy and Market Garden and Bulge would make a great background.

Before this I'd actually like to see a GC-style DLC series for the western allied and soviet side. Especially since such a series would be small scale enough, both in area and time, to feature the fins, frech, poles, jugoslawians, possibly even belgians and netherland and norway for a scenario or two. I mean yes they lost, but why not make nice defensive scenarios where the goal is to delay some German forces for a while. For a large scale scenario like Allied Corps such scenarios don't make sense since you have to lose to remain historical. but on a smaller scale, on a small part of the front that could work :) So such an allied DLC could work from 1939-1945 also :) The core would maybe be a problem, but hey, there might be a way around that. Maybe make it possible to upgrade between nations or something, I dunno. but at least the scenarios would definitely work. And maybe a Polish DLC would even work without being able to import the core to the next year. I mean the poles did some counter attacks. One could even do a slight offensive against the soviets in the east before the surrender or maybe fight ones way to some geographical point to evacuate to a neutral country and then Great Britain or crap like that :P
There's certainly potential there. I mean even France would work with the British expedition corps. With one final scenario being stopping the Germans before Dunkirk to protect the evacuation.
What about stuff like: You first start in poland. After the polish campaign you can select a few of your units which can be evacuated as free poles to remain in your core. Then you go to Norway fighting as the british, who invaded there simulateneously with the Germans and in the end you have a last stand near narvik. Then you go to france (possibly to the netherlands first), where you can buy a few French units if you want to and those units you evacuate at dunkirk, then it goes to afrika, or maybe even Greece, trying to hold Crete or whatever :) Defensive scenarios that were lost on a grande scale but managed small victories in certain locations, would work in GC-scale campaign :) It would be the mirror of the GC, first mostly defending with the occasional offensive and then in the final years the major offensives. That could be really cool.
And for the Soviet Campaign the winter war... =)

Exactly! That's exactly what I wanted to point out! Perhaps even in the polish scenarios, some fighting with the Soviets after delaying the Germans outside Warsaw?

In WWI there were tanks (Battle of Cambrai) and lots of air battles. Even if you took out tac bombers you could still have zeppelins. Add Barbed Wire and Poison gas effects. Also, you could have like Wehrmacht campaign:
Execute Schlieffen Plan - 1st Ypres - Offensive in E. Poland 1915 - 2nd Ypres (Poison Gas used here) - Verdun, Jutland, the Somme - Attack by Russians 1916 in the Ukraine, Cambrai, Arras 1917, 3rd Ypres, Ludendorff's Offensive

Also, I like the idea of other countries in the game:
Free Poland Campaign, Free France, ANZACs etc.

To be honest, the last thing I want to see in this game is weapons like Poison Gas.

How would that work? Can Gas "surpress" the enemy?

Wouldn't even make sense as a weapon. Aside from maybe two occasions, including the first use and the shock that its use created, poison gas never had any real impact on the war at all. It was just one more way to kill people that were thrown into the meat grinder.
