yeah you better report that bug. this also has to work when having a unit killed in the last scenario of a DLC and then loading the core for the next one. someone might wanna try to test that.

As promised, I spread the shortcomings and mistakes in the Russian localization. I am writing in Russian, so the translation is not a failure point. Hopefully, Rudankort understand and correct the error in patch 1.21.

«Библиотека»
Раздел «Классы юнитов» - «Разведка»: 6 строка «хотябы» (нужно раздельно).
Раздел «PzKpfw 2»: 17 строка «Однако, модификация» (в начале предложения слово «однако» запятой не обособляется).
Раздел «КВ-1»: 3-4 строки «министра обороны Советского Союза» (К.Е. Ворошилов занимал в тот момент должность народного комиссара обороны СССР. Министерств еще не было).
Раздел «М10 Волверин»: 3-4 строки «истребителем танков произведенных в США во время войны и значительно». После слов «танков» и «войны» нужно поставить запятые (причастный оборот). Строки 19-20 «Разработанный по ошибочным требованиям флота, эти снаряды». Поскольку речь идет о снарядах, что необходимо «Разработанные».
Раздел «Спифайр»: в названии пропущена буква «Т».

«Мультиплеер»
Наименование кампании «Spoils of War» и ее описание не переведены на русский язык.

Общие
При выборе опции «Сдаться» появляются сообщения «Союзники сдается» и «Ось сдается». Во-первых, здесь множественное число, поэтому необходимо «сдаются», а во-вторых, наименование «Ось» не использовалось, а использовалось «Страны Оси»

Сценарии
Сценарий «Германия»: все союзники (и СССР, и США с Великобританией) в начальной позиции обращены на запад, хотя США с Великобританией атакуют с запада и должны быть обращены лицом на восток. Войска Германии, напротив, все обращены лицом на восток. Таким образом, «задом» встречают атакующих США и Великобританию. На мой взгляд, лучше разделить войска Германии на 2 части: одна обращена лицом к атакующим войскам СССР, другая – к войскам США и Великобритании.
Сценарий «Бенилюкс». В 1940 году такого наименования и объединения государств еще не существовало. Бенилюкс объединяет в себе Бельгию, Нидерланды и Люксембург.
Сценарий «Арденны». Если на карте навести указатель на город Антверпен, то всплывает неправильное наименование Антверп вместо Антверпен.
Сценарий «Оверлорд». Условия победы союзников «Удерживать Париж или как минимум 3 других объекта». Союзники атакуют и не могут удерживать Париж. В английской версии – Capture (Захватить).
Сценарий «Киев». Условия победы союзников «Захватить и удерживать по крайней мере один объект». СССР защищается, поэтому захватывать объект не нужно.
Сценарий «Ссора союзников»: Условия победы СССР «Удерживать по крайней мере 5 объекта». СССР атакует и не может удерживать объекты. В английской версии – Capture (Захватить).
Сценарий «Высадка в Анцио»: Условия победы Стран Оси «Удержать по крайней мере 3 объектов». Правильно «3 объекта».
Сценарий «Бардия»: Условия победы Стран Оси «Удержать по крайней мере 2 объектов». Правильно «2 объекта».
Сценарий «Наступление к Эльбе»: За страны Оси на недоступном гексе 42,11 расположен советский юнит «Ivan», который почему то доступен для стран Оси.

Во всех сценариях названия кораблей не переведены на русский язык (например, USS Ranger).
Во всех сценариях и кампаниях условия победы звучат как «10 подразделений ядра должны выжать». Что это я понять не смог. Очень плохой перевод. Перевод «подразделений ядра» лучше заменить на более понятный.

Кампании
В описаниях в кампаниях обращения к игроку начинаются с маленькой буквы: вы, вас, хотя по правилам русского языка уважительное обращение начинается с большой буквы: Вы, Вас.

Юниты
США истребитель «Р-38 Молния». Правильнее будет транслитерация Лайтнинг. У других юнитов наименования транслитерированы (например, Першинг, Файрфлай и др.).

Yes, very inconvenient because 1.21 saves aren't backward compatible to 1.20. Uh, what a pressure to our dear devs. Now would be a good time for the real patch! :mrgreen:

I just finished up with 1940 and was going to the 41 campaign when Beta expired.

Is it safe to start new grand campaign with 1.20 version? I mean when official 1.21 will come out are my older save files compatible with this version?

The older save files will - most likely - be compatible. They have been from the beginning of Panzer Corps (as far as I remember at least). For the new rules to work you will probably have to finish the saved game. So it was with the beta.

Hopefully the beta saved games will be compatible or I will have to start 42 anew. I deleted the old savegame from Businowka and 1.20 won't accept the 1.21 beta saves of course.

All this is annoying me for I want to play the GC with the new rules, which hasn't been possible yet except for beta testing, which has expired and virtually no reaction from any official! Maybe there will be another beta round around Christmas...

I'm not up to mess with my system time either, so can't play on with two campaign mods. After days of unplayable PC, I was fed up with waiting and restarted the GC with 1.20 rules. I haven't played it since its overhaul and the western path, so still something new to experience for me.
Wish there would be any official news about what is planned: either another beta or the final in the near future.

I felt I had to write something about this situation. I began June ready to work through the GC with the new rules and changes. It's now well into September.

This is the first time that I can remember where a major issue with a Slitherine game has taken so long to fix, with very little communication to the game players/fans. Usually fixes have been out very quickly and always with comments to keep us informed. This truly has been the first major disappointment with Slitherine I've had.

Whether it is because the problem is more severe that originally thought (again, just let us know) or it's that the one soul who can do the fix is also having to do other things with due dates piling up, neither of those lessen the disappointment over this incredible delay. Knowing why the delay is happening would at least help a little.

But that message was, as far as I rememeber, posted before 1.21 and is really old.
I am really with Blathergut here. It is really not so much about the patch being delayed, it is just the absolut lack of any information. If I am getting told the patch gets pushed back until late October for example, I am cool with that I just like to know and have at least some sort of information.
For me 1.20 was really a bit of a community patch since so many ideas from those passionate gamers really went into it. i am just thinking about the excellent discussion about the "Snowball effect" and I think the solution Alex found is a really good one.

Slitherine really got a lot of credit from me for producing such an excellent game and especially for those great discussion which happen in this forum here. However in the light of 1.21 a lot of that credit just got blown away.

Sorry but your post makes no sense to me unless you're nitpicking. It does not matter if it was a patch or a so called Beta - this is about the lack of information in general regarding 1.20 and the subsequent BETA. Happy?

My point was that it makes no sense talking about 1.21 when officially we're still at 1.20. So I agree the lack of communication is a problem since obvisouly people started games with 1.21 treating it already as a full patch, which it wasn't, and are now stuck with incompatible save files.
