I think for early the theme this year will be Pikes, max Shooty foot and knights. Elephants add a bonus to any of the above. So here goes
EARLY
Graham Briggs_________EAP
I may have done had I not been umpiring. But I thought actually that needs full concentration to get the game finished in time and since I'm umpiring I'd probably be in the "coulda woulda shoulda" camp with them. Plus, they are quite weak against the Western Han that Graham E usually plays- I was very lucky not to lose in the Challenge to it.
So I've joined what might be a multitude and gone for the various "knight and not very good support troops" options. I'm quite encouraged by my practice games. In that they've mostly gone horribly wrong, but have been enjoyable. A knightly unit that moves at 5MU seems to go in the wrong direction really quickly. Getting the army to do much other than advance straight forwards seems a bit of a challenge. Still, I'd hope to get the games over in time and they do fight well frontally against a lot of stuff.

Multitude? I thought I had chosen an unusual army

Bugger

- wish Andy had let me change my list to Warring States now or I had stuck with Italo Norman, - D for Dailami will be run down by lots of fast knights (but looking on the bright side may do well against Shaun and Graham

Bring it on.

But Graham has loads of knights
(Should spank Shaun's Kofun Nara though)

Phil,
You nearly got mine right. It came down to a throw of the die on the day before the list was due, odds Chingachgook, evens one eyed Harold. Surprisingly for my dice, it was a six - so in went Harolds list and out into the bin went the die (can't be doing with dice that roll sixes!).
Pity really, there could have been 3 American armies.

A sane decision for an insane reason
