If the rules say step forwards into enemy BG the camp is not a BG so is not stepped into. if it says enemy it is.

The rules state "enemy battle groups" (p9-4). Of course that might just be an oversight which would need to be clarified by an errata entry, but the rule as currently written would exclude the camp.

I agree it could be an oversight from the changes between v1 & v2, however going a bit meta-gaming, I think logic would dictate that a commander is going to want to take care of solid troops before worrying about sacking a camp. As soon as you start your troops sacking a camp you lose control of them. They start going for the plunder. This is played out in the rules by needing a CMT to stop sacking the camp.

I'd say that the RAW (oversight or no) has it right. Bagage isn't a BG, and so shouldn't be stepped forward into.

This is just an opinion of course.

That said, RAW = no stepping forward (It's clearly not a BG); intent = we'd need a rules writer to chime in.
