NickGen, could you please upload JPG files for your maps instead of PNG files ? Your maps are big (> 2 MB each). For people like me with a crappy DSL line, this thread takes minutes to load.
With a Freeware graphics program like Paint.NET you can manually adjust the amount of compression of graphics files, thus saving space and time to load.

NickGen, on which side we can play the campaign when it´s finished, only Israeli, or both?
And when do you think can we play a first "Test-Camapign"? Or do you plan to release only the complete finished MOD?

I hope to have a campaign for each of the main camps (Israel, Syria, Egypt)
the first campaign will certainly playable from Israeli side.
But first, there will be a test scenario in the region of golan to test units and map .

to THvN,
I have some difficulties to find reliable information on the composition of Israeli AA defense forces in 1973.
I know that they had fixed hawks missile batteries, but other than that?
They already had the M48 Chapparal? the M163 vulcan ?
I think they also had the M-16 AA Haltracks but hard to find photos and detailed info ....
THvNcan you help me?
thank you
Nick

I'll see what I can dig up. About the halftracks, I know they still had M3 Halftracks with twin 20mm on it (TCM-20)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TCM-20#TCM-20 at the time, they had only just started to replace those (they were displaced into reserve units and still in use in the early 1980-ies).
EDIT: With the correct name it's easy to google for them, some pictures of the TCM-20, including a version mounted on BTR-152:

I've been checking what few sources about the air defenses exist, but some of them contradict each other.
About the Chaparrels and M163s, a picture has emerged: During Operation Nickel Grass, a lot of modern equipment was hurridly flown to Israel, and right after the 1973 war some Chaparrals and M163's (a few dozen each) were imported, and they were officially deployed early 1974. One of the Chaparrals even appears to have made the only combat kill of the type during May 1974. So they were not available during the 1973 war, same for any portable Redeye missiles.
You already know about the Hawk missiles, but Israel also used radar-guided Bofors 40mm/L70 guns for semi-static defense of rear-area assets. The frontlines were served by SPAAG's, in 1973 this was the TCM-20 turret on the M3 halftrack. These turrets were rebuild from the quad .50cals that were used until earlier (it seems the decision to upgun to 20mm was taken in 1969). These turrets were also mounted on captured BTR-40's and BRT-152's, but I don't know how many of those were converted or where they were deployed.
I also found the kill claims for the Israeli ADA units during the various conflicts, on this page here:
