Pontic Army

The earliest Pontic list available that I can find is the Pontic (Early) from ROR. The date is 132 BC.
There are some troop types that would be historical anomolies(?) if used i.e. immitation legionaries.
Is this the correct list to use, and should I exclude the legionaries?

What happens in an invasion/counter invasion situation? In the case of Ptolemaic province 10 and Seleucid province 9, our invading armies must be passing like ships in the night. In the case that both our invading armies are successful, will we just trade provinces?

Yes - it does look a bit silly. This time we'll stick with the ships passing in the night set-up this turn only. I will ammend the rules to allow a significant chance of the invading armies fighting each other, supported by the defending garrisons leading to an 800-1000 vs 800-1000 battle deciding the fate of both player's provinces in time for the second turn. Hope that is ok.

george123 (Ptolemaic successor) 34/33
batesmotel (Seleucid Successor) 30/29

The Ptolemaic invasion of province 9 has been fought to an exhausted stand still with a drawn result. I would guess that a draw should go to the defender but I don't recall if the rules cover this so far. Thanks for a good game. Now only 3 more to go!

george123 (Ptolemaic Successor) - 34/33
batesmotel (Seleucid Successor) - 29/29

Another invasion fought to an exhausted standstill for the Ptolemaic invasion of Seleucid province 5.

Two more battles to be fought for the Seleucid counter-invasions.

Gaul or at least part of it as fallen beneath the Roman Eagle.
Caesar himself leads the field and scores a victory against the
barbarians.
We needs more clean shaven chests in this world not hairres !

IDS (Roman) 28/40 defeated
Jonah75 (Gaul) 32/31

Even the brilliant tactic and magic potion of the Gauls
could not make up for the extra 100 pts of legionaries.

Great Game,
Ian

Later Syracuse (Turk) 46/45

Macedonia have won a very close battle with the Roman pretenders. Our glorious Commander was killed in battle after leading a charge into the Roman Maniple. With no concern for his personal saftey he was dragged from his Mount and set upon by the Roman horde. His head has been carried back toRome with the retreating Legions. The Province is ours but a great cost and loss of our Great commander Con the Magnificent.

Macedonians(Turk1964) 39/44 def Romans(Iandavidsmith) 38/37
