rexhurley (Med French - Later) 27/42 bt Flatsix (mamelukes) 30/25

The willy arab mad mullah tried to be sneaky but his lack of troops and not dismounting in favourable terrain before the battle commenced cost him the game

Div B

rexhurley (Med French - Later) 38/42 bt Turk (Hungarians) 38/36

In a game which saw me almost annihilated by break offs getting into the rear and good play by Turk, thankfully I pulled back a 20bp deficit for the win, close as though last turn could have been a draw with 3 and 4 bp needed respectively with me having 2 fragged units i contact with disrupted def spear and a group of woman and children fighting three units of mercenary knights!! yes i burgled it but i'll take it

3 new challenges up for all but claymore ;-) pw "Rumble 2"

Flatsix518 (Mamluk - early) (20/27) vs Voskarp (WoTR - RIII) (41/40)

Voskarp actually made a reasonably sound deployment, but it played into the Mamluk hands. Early in the battle, I got the better of his cavalry and fairly cheaply killed off some longbows to gain a big lead. Voskarp gamely fought on and narrowed the game to make it close at the end. Well played!

Well, that's an euphemism of my blunder, but thanks! :)

Division C

kmaher (Anglo-Irish-early) 46/51 bt greetings44 (Wallachian) 43/43

I got off to a shaky start, in part down to poor deployment which saw my HF tripping over my longbowmen. Eventually I managed to get my Galloglaigh nobles into the battle and they broke through his middle which ultimately Greetings was unable to recover from. Still if it went one more turn it could easily have gone the other way.

BTW Has the link to the results spreadsheet been posted?

voskarp (WotR Richard III) [35/40] vs caiko (Ordonnance French, early) [46/44]

It turned out to be more of a slugger fight than an archer duel.

Some rough terrain and better troop quality of the archers helped the English send the French home.

Bear with us while I sort out the spreadsheets for results etc.

Shouldn't be too long before they are up and running. Just make sure you have saved all of your results please and when filling in the data, make sure it is correct.

Also please note resignations are not allowed. They have been very very very rare in the past.

Who knows carrying on in these games could make a difference in the final table positions.

Div B

rexhurley (Med French - Later) 33/42 bt Kilroy (Byzantines) 39/39

A long grinding match dominated by the large steep hill in the middle I picked but held stoutly against all comers by 2 Byzant LI's, best part of the match byzant sup knights charged in the arse and routed by the woman and children again, lols and another unit routed when our other ladies exposed themselves to the front and the knights couldnt help themselves.....:-) (it actually helped that the knights were at 48% lols 8) 8)

In the end superior numbers managed to flank on both sides then the rear charges begun.

Thanks Kilroy i was worried I was going to loose this one

rexhurley (Med French - Later) 39/42 bt Stockwellpete (WOTR tudor) 35/34

Ouchie this one was hard and tense initial deployment by me slightly flawed and early onset to take a plantation went to Peter, Lbow exchanged fire with the Xbow, without thinking knights spontaneously charged and bounced off the stake line then it came down to the med fight in the plantation and a tight corner fight of 3 hexes of both Cnc's dueling and wave after wave of mtd knights trying to punch through a lin of sup dismtd knighhts after stopping raging about work and dice and focussed I managed to claw back a 20bp gap to steal a win when his cnc took flight, phew is all i can say.

Pete has been away a while but hasnt lost any of his guile and skill. thanks for a thriller Pete

Division B

Flatsix518 (Mamluk - early) (9/27) vs Caiko (Ordonnance French - early) (49/44)

Brutal game for Caiko. I won the initiative and forced the battle onto a large steep-hill mass. This dropped the knightly advantage of the Ordonnance to on-par with the Mamluks and freed forces to beat up on his poor quality troops. Thanks for the game, Caiko.
