I completely agree -if too much detail is given. But a simple list of amended section numbers/titles should be possible, without any detail of the amendment itself.
god forbid us ever risking entering an age of enlightenment in which one might safely assume that gamers could be trusted to actually willingly choose to buy an e- or updated print version of the rules, not because there is no choice if you wish to carry on playing, but instead because having a new, updated amendments-included version is something we might actually be prepared to pay for as it would be genuinely better than some scribbled amendments on the glossy, coloured ink-repelling paper of our existing sets of V1.0 eh?
