The Persians concentrated on one wing of Islesmen, with the Dailami guard proving again that they are faster than a speeding arrow, more powerful than a heavy chariot, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! (Fighting from the top of a hill also helped!) Meanwhile, Arab cavalry weaved and danced in front of the dangerous Highlanders and kept them away from the main battle, until it was too late.

John did everything right. As the spartan wall of spears marched forward two hexed at a time towards the persian hoplites that wisely hung back near their baseline, his armoured cav shot at the spartan right flank and the Immortals from cover shot at the spartan left flank. But despite all the shooting the spartans finally crashed into th enemy hoplites and it was goodnight vienna.

An enjoyable game that could have swung either way.

Our clever tactic was the use of the famous 'burning bush': the Greeks' womenfolk were very, very upset (undestandably) and this put the men in an unsettled mood...

This match is now decided by the "tie-breaker" rule. It does not need to be replayed. The rule states,

"Drawn matches will be dealt with as follows - if the game has been played to a conclusion and a draw is the result then a tie-breaker will come into operation. The tie-breaker will work like this - suppose a game ends with the score 27/26 to 31/29. The 27/26 player will be awarded the match as they have inflicted +2 damage over the army breaking point while suffering only +1 damage themselves."

So porsenna has inflicted +3 damage while Lehnardtson has only inflicted +2, therefore the match is awarded to porsenna.
