the two expansions will be fine, a little preference for the soviets (defense then attack), the western allies...only the britains will defend then attack ?
A French then Free French third campaign could be fine, i suppose it will be an american & a commonwealth ones (french material then american tanks & planes) An idea, not only because because I'm french , but the campaign will be with lot of variety. (France, Desert, Italy, amphibious invasion , Germany )
In few years add-on with civil war in spain could be fine (two sides pleeeeeeease not only the nationalists or the Condor Legion !), lot of varied INF but tanks & planes were here too...& the INF combat is interesting. And very varied scenarios are possible.
But I know...most of the time fascination around big and bad Tigers have préférence, what a pity

In the meantime, you can have fun with the "Spanish General" mod for Allied General:
http://zonaoscura.rolgratis.com/estrate ... cargas.php
You can play in campaign mode as either the Nationalists or Republicans, and there are counterfactual scenarios as well as historical ones. If memory serves, the briefings are available in English as well as Spanish. It is very well done.

Hy.
I would like to see a collection of "What if ?" scenarios.
for example:
Operation "Felix" (Invasion of Gibraltar,Canary Islands, Cape Verde...),
Operation "Herkules" (Invasion of Malta),
Operation "Ikarus" (Invasion of Iceland).
Operation "unthinkable" (united offense of Germany and the western allies against soviet-union),
Operation "Sledgehammer/Roundup" (allied invasion of europe before 1944),
Operation "Tannnenbaum" (Invasion plan of switzerland),
extended "Plan Aida" (approach of Afrika Korps to Cairo, Alexandria and Suez canal reaching middle east),
Plan "rubber"(US-Invasion of Brazil),
Operation "Seelöwe" (a few connected scenarios about axis landing in GB),
and so on.... .
Those scenarios would be a nice conclusion of the Axis Grand campaign.
Keep up the great work....

For me
After Afrika Korps : Tunisian Bridgehead with germany
would be best = Sicily and italy (which lasted 1943 + 1944 + 1945 anyway) with Allies
nice work

Switzerland...
...wait...no...Western Allies (if I had to decide).
But I would put that project on hold and focus all my attention on Japan. Stick to the Axis powers. If it were on the voting list, I guarantee it would be #1.
I personally have no desire to play as the winners of the war.

Id LOVE to see the russian front of course. But right now Id like to see the US in the war more than anything. Espesially if it involved the Pacific...lol.

However, I understand the Pacific may be a ways away so western and southern France, Italy and Sicily, and Africa and of course Normandy invasion would be very cool. Sealion as the Brits would also be VERY cool.

Thanks to robman with the
spanisch general mod
It seems to be fun
but we are in PZC forum
However it seems that "Allied General" is downloadable ?
I haven't seen this games (PG etc) for years !
I'm not sure Spanisch War is a good commercial issue for Slitherine, perhaps in few years...when for all german, allied & soviet possibilities things will be in a dead end.
The mods are here for that indeed

(1) Spanish General is a standalone game, no need to have Allied General installed.
(2) My apologies if mentioning it was not appropriate for this forum.

rodman wrote:Western Allies, and it would be cool to have campaign branches/starting points where "things have gotten even worse": Britain falls, or Britain is pushed out of Africa before Torch. A counterfactual counter-Chamberlain early campaign would also be interesting (invade when Germany invades Czechoslovakia, or when it invades Poland).
Wow, took the words right out of what's left of my brain. Really, I was thinking just this, especially about the push during the Poland period. The French had better tanks, but poor leadership and even poorer tactical doctrine to use them properly.

Western allies game would be great!
And since your asking there are 2 other things I would love to see (first is easy, second is great, but a bit of a change)
First off could we get the reinforcements tweaked a bit. Would be great if we could chose how many replacements to buy instead of the max that ones prestige at the time will buy. This would be great to spread the limited prestige around a bit instead of dumping all one could afford into one unit. OR mixing some elite replacements and some green replacements.
Second is the way air power works. It's jut not realistic at all with planes staying in the air for days at a time.....I would love to see a system similar to what Peoples General used...Air power was purchased with prestige and you would send them on missions. They do there mission and return to there airfield (except for when flying as cap).......This system could be tweaked a bit from Peoples General to make sense in WWII. Example, instead of planes being able to reach the entire map they could only fly from controlled airfields, You could even add a ground unit that is a mobile (slow moving, 1 turn to be operational) airfield. Air power could still be purchased and experience gained for these units as they complete missions. Example a player owns 2 stuka 2 me109, so he gets 4 air missions that turn corresponding with the type of aircraft he owns. In this way people can still enjoy purchasing and building there air force, but they fly and fight much more realistically.....Please, I know its a big change for some, but it would make so much more sense than planes staying in the air for so so long...I actually have a few friends that refuse to play anything but Peoples General because of this.
Thanks for all your hard work, love the series so far.

Western allies (first), please!
As for the next game after GC 43-45 West, i'd like to make a different suggestion:
I'm pretty sure you're going to tar and feather me, but what about a WWI-Version of PC? History Line 1914-1918 (a.k.a. The Great War: 1914-1918) was a fantastic game.
Unfortunately, it only covered the western front and only fictional battles were fought.
So how about creating a WWI-game with historical battles, western and eastern front campaigns (maybe even middle east campaigns)?
I know, the The Lordz Games Studio are working on "Commander The Great War", but that game is very different from PC; it feels and plays much more like Civilization than Panzer Corps.

WW1 and a historyline clone would be awesome, I doubt this would be the right decision before there is other campaigns for WW 2 though

For me, as a german PC-Fan, the russian campaign is much more interesting. They fought in Finnland, had much trouble to rescue their fatherland, bad equipment at the date, WWII starts (only a few KV and T34) and they learned a lot of modern warfare within months.
The Western Allies? A history of evacuations and defeats in early years and then a return to the continent with an overwhelming majority of air, men and material in general.
I can see no "blitz" like bagration or similar on the western front. One small Stalingrad in Falaise is not enough for me.
I will buy all, but i prefer the russian campaign, sorry guys.

I would love a western campaign dlc as you did for the Russians, followed by an Allied general, but in General I have loved all the campaigns/scenarios and would get anything you brought out for the game.

Western Front (aka Allied General style
or
Pacific (could be some great air/sea battles but I'm sure adding int all the ships would take some time

Either one would be fine with me, in theory … if there was a "both!" button, I'd certainly choose it, hehe. But in practice, neither one means anything to me until I can at least experience the original game, which requires either the Mac or the iPad version. (I'll probably end up buying both, because I'll want to experience it on both my 27" iMac screen and on my retina tablet while sitting on my couch.)

we've surely have :
- western allies campaigns (good !)
- soviet's one(s) (very good !)
then few suggestions for the long future (with ideas of many players)
- pacific (both sides) but with no real focus on naval battles, PZC is not a naval game. So japan '37 to '45, USM '41 to '45 and brittany (Singapour "evacuation" to Malesia)
- "1946" what if, for introduction of new fun materials. A besieged germany but with very good materials & "olympic" invasion of Japan (no atomic bombs)
- "esoteric" campaigns/pack with italy, french & free french, chine, australia...
- Civil wars in Russia & Spain
- WWI
- Korea
- Vietnam (not my interest but could be fun and varied indeed)
Slitherine Team, you're under siege !
