I'm excited by the idea of being able to customize your army to such a degree that you will begin to care for your men and they wont be just some pixels dying on screen, but rather cherished subjects.

Too cool!

"On the contrary, since Legion II will incorporate the Arena graphics and animation, work on Arena will directly contribute to the completion of Legion II."[honvedseg]

That's all well and good, but since much of the battle engine is already complete, I still think this puts the Legion II off for some time.

He means that nothing is being done on the strategic map of Legion 2 which will be the main aspect of the game.

What makes him believe that? I mean, what causes him to believe there is going to be extra delay for Legion II?

I mean that since a new single player mode for Legion Arena is being created right now,and since the small size of the Slitherine team means that they don't have the same multi-tasking abilities of a large developer, Legion II campaign play might have to wait for a bit.

I have played this game on and off for about 2 months and even at the easy setting have yet to win. Is there a way to win. If not I suggest the makers twcik the game to make easy - easy.

Sure, just, where did you get it from?

I bought it in Durham at the Apple Store there. I play it on an iMac. I have set the difficulty level at easy. I have tried building great armies and tried staying at home to build better and bigger forts and units. One thng I can't understand is after a battle and you win the screen tells of your expected gains in troops, but I never get these troops. However if my opponent wins and I hit him with another army close by he always has replaced his losses out of thin air. Easy should be just that. I always play the Romans and they conquered the world usually with armies vastly outnumbered. My legionaires and gladiatior and pratoriaens don't seem to fight very well. What gives? I love the game but I would like to win occsianally.

Hi,

To which game do you refer?
The game you described in your post isn't Legion Arena.

cheers! :)

How can you have it, even an Apple version since the game is not out yet? Are you a member of the beta team?

OR, are you talking about Legion? Legion Arena is a different game. If you are talking about Legion and not Legion Arena I advice you to ask in the Legion forum/threads than in this one. 8)
