all the enhancements to the game people have programmed and made available for us to use, as per this thread viewtopic.php?f=147&t=27036
I have used mods on different games, but have not got my head around what ones to use here yet.
If you use GME, you can try them all, without messing your vanilla Panzer Corps. There's no list of best mods.

Yes, fair statement for sure.
The truth of the matter is I am having too much fun playing the game to spend time altering it at this point. 8)

It makes all the sense sense. :D
First enjoy the game (and the DLCs). Then enjoy the several campaign mods. You'll have for a long time, I assure you.
Although you can already start using some cosmetic mods, like the RSM Redux sound ("nudge nudge, wink wink") with the original Panzer Corps.

Yes, that's a good MOD. I permanently replaced all original sounds with the ones from this MOD. No GME required.
Another one that does not change gameplay but is very nice eye candy is the "Panzer Corps Full Historical Art Mod", especialy the Italian and Hungarian Flags. ("snap snap, grin grin, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more? ")

No it isn't required, but I would go for GME. It's always easier and "cleaner".

What I meant to say was that I don't use GME for the RSM Redux MOD because I will never go back to the original sounds.
Same thing with the Historical MOD.

At the risk of tooting my own horn in a sense, if you'd like to play with some REALISTIC looking armor like these, visit the Scenario Design section of the forum. This is the tip of the iceberg from a graphics standpoint. The graphics make all the difference in the world to me personally. I'm NOT trying to promote the mod I played a part in designing, but merely wanting some new guys to see what can be done, easily.

This looks really nice. I'll have to make some time to look it up.
Can you tell me the name of the MOD or give the link to the proper thread?

Also, there's no problem with promoting one's own MOD. If you don't how can someone like me, who rarely goes to the Scenario Design section, know about it?

And anyway, just look at how VPaulus shamelessly promotes his own work!!
Shame on you VPaulus ("snap snap, , , nudge nudge, say no more :?: )

Here's the link for Flak and rezaf mod:

I end up always promoting more other persons mods than my owns.

I wasn't "promoting" my mod in the sense that you mention, I was attempting to get some new guys to look at something that might change the game to be even better for them in the Scenario Design Section. That is only one of many that are available and easy to use. I only made the skins, the wizard Rezaf actually made the mod and tagged it with my name. He has contributed tremendously to Panzer Corps as have many others. Anyone who is not taking advantage of these mods is missing a great deal of enjoyment and enrichment of their gaming experience with Panzer Corps.

Yes, I understand. You were actualy advising new guys, and some older ones like me, to visit the Scenario Section and download whatever MODS they like, not necessarily something made by you, entirely or in part.
Nevertheless, just so you know, I wasn't complaining about any possible advertising.
Since I don't normally go to the Scenario Section, my bad I know, I only hear about possible good MODs when someone refers to them on other threads. This will change once I have the time to finish all DLCs and start looking for other Scenarios/Campaigns to play.
On this note I would just like to add my thanks to every MODDER, that gives us extra content, and every one who takes time to help out new guys, and not so new guys also.

Finally, to answer your question, I think only the ones from important families.

Yes, I just noticed you are both from Portugal. You are fortunate to be neighbors with VP, he is a class fellow and all around scholar and gentleman, even if he caresses the butts of all the pretty foreign women as they walk the streets seeing historical sights.

Sir, I've never made such a distinction between foreign and national women. I assure you that I don't hold that kind of prejudices.

In regards to a skin/cammo mod, is there one that will apply a year/season accurate one automatically without your intervention?

I've applied the sound and insignia mods (thank you all very much), and desperately want a skin mod, albeit a low effort one.

Well said :)
I too now have the new sounds (they are great) and would love some skin enhancements. Never thought about seasons changing, good point.
These are exactly the type of mods I am interested in at the moment. They do not change the game play or adjust unit strengths, however they make the experience better.

No. The game doesn't permit to automatically change skins.

Oh, too bad. That would be a VERY neat mod - to take the great cammo patterns already developed and then apply them by year/season would really tickle players.

On the DMP forum there is a playable mod that Churchlakecity had a big part in making happen. Supposedly you can switch camouflage from winter to summer in this mod but I have not tried doing it. Maybe someone in the Scenario Design section has played it and can tell you how it was done. Churchy is in the hospital now for a while I think and I don't know his German partner in the mod.

There is a way to change the icons for each scenario, but it involves complicated changes in what I call "scripting" meaning altering the units and their icons. Being able for them to follow from winter to summer is not something I think I would want to tackle. Maybe someone like Condoro on the Scenario Design section would know how it could be done.

Theoretically with the SS Mod you could put selected camouflage icons into the mod with the same units in winter and summer camouflage, but I don't know how you would be able to continue the scenario variables from the summer scenarios into the winter and vice versa. Sounds like it might be feasible, but it would make my head explode to try.

Im running 4-5 MODs i think when last looked, they do make the game far more fun to play, camo skins really add alot to battle! "Self MODing" if that could be a term, seems to make the game more fun for me too. That is, I dont overload on all the big stuff, I try to keep Infantry a big part of your core etc. Some call it historical, I do run my core in Divisions, but it does make the game harder to play. Ive seen some lists posted on here and think, yeah, how could you not easily win with that!!!

:-)
