I used the 1812 imperial guard cavalry to Britcon.

It was my first foray into the rules and really enjoyed playing the army.

Being my first FOGN comp I made with hindsight a few classic errors. These being:
Not getting decent generals for the pips.
Not really understanding the impact unit a hymens can make. Eg. Adding a art attachment to a heavy cav unit.
Not quite getting the all arms bit to work.

What I did fid the guard resilience for only being able to drop 1 cohesion level 95% of the time had a big impact on the game.
Also the very good.chance of passing a cmt.
once a cav unit evame spent I sent it off hunting down my opponents unspent cavalry.


I'll be bringing the sameclst with tweaks to warfre

TBH if i was'nt sorting out a different army I would look at the Dutch belgium Army, good history if you get away from the bad history books and study the real action that they did. Plus the cavalry are nice.
