Can you use Dominate Roman Eastern options as they must be contemporaries of the Western Empire?

I was going to respond to the Emperor but though it was a little late now.
Although I lost badly and the dice weren't kind it was a good game played in great spirits which I thank him for.
He did also comment that my gameplay and how I made moves and confirmed things was a tad better that yours................

BTW, there are still spaces - an uneven number of teams means that unfortunately this year there are going to be byes. If anyone knows of anyone who would like to play we can accomodate
