Maybe I shouldn't answer this one... Anyway as I see it, it's an reedition of the game, something like "gold" or "platinum" editions of other games, it's great for people who don't have LA, those who have LA can/should skip it. The important change was probably the fact that the game has been ported to consoles, console player couldn't have play LA now they can. PC version is probably a sort-of by product.

I agree about the console thing...but they could ave just made console versions instead of making a new name for the game and also making it available for PC. To me..I cant beleave this game is allowed to be sold..its the same game as Legions Arena..maybe if there was a new graphics engine and more units..but from what I have heard...there aint anything new to the engine...tweaks....sounds like a patched version of LA to me. For the price in the stores for the PC version..its rediculas.
Again..I know I am being an Ass here but surely yee guys agree with what iam saying here to a certain extent. " purely on the PC version " again I will say..if I wanted to play the campaign again..I would just go to LA....give me 1 good reason to buy this?? tell me what stands out the most since LA to most?? are there new tactics?? new formations?? new animations?? are there actualy any new units?? to me..I would buy this game if it included Carthage along with all there units..that would be great fun!

I don't really see the problem here. As Slitherine did officially state there is not much of an reason to buy this game if you have LA. And nobody is forcing you to. The info about the game being an improved version of LA has been here
before the game's release, so it should not be a problem.

If my calculations are correct, I think it took me something like my earnings from 80 minutes of work to earn the price of the game.
This argument is actually not that good, it's about 20% of my monthly earnings.

I bought thinking it was like Rome TW, so far I haven't been able to play it invalid cd! After reading the comments I don't think i will even bother with it 30 bucks down the tube. I got the cd to play but only loads the intro, my pc meets all the requirements... the software sucks!

First of all this game is nothing like RTW, really getting some info on the game
before buying is a very good idea. Secondly, GBoR are much, much more stable and compatible than RTW out of the box, of course with the myriad of hardware out there (and the state of OS, which most neglect) some problems may appear, and may easily be solved if you describe what happens in a more detailed way than just "it doesn't start".[/b]

Anyone having issues with getting the game to run should post in the tech support subforum. It's generally rare that we can't get people up and running.
Note that there is a sticky describing the most efficient way to describe your issue.
Cheers
