This would be a nice feature. After all, high-ranking officers like us don't usually have to eat our orders after reading them.
excellent, robman

Now, all I need to do is work out what this combat prediction is trying to tell me. I cannot make heads or tails out of it.

Maybe they could simplify this in the next patch, it would only add to the game, making it better, a game for the casual player as well as the armchair general.

If the predictor is causing an issue, you can always try the chess cheat that forces the predictor to be 100% accurate.

Nono, I don't want to cheat, only to be able to understand the information displayed, it is double-Dutch to me atm. From trailers of the game 'Unity of command' , they show a nice clear and easy to understand combat prediction layout. It was something like that which I was thinking of.

There is a link to an explanation of this on the Matrix forums in the Common Questions thread

Goes into some detail explaining how each bit of initiative, suppression and terrain works. Have to admit I dont look that often as after a while you tend to get a feel for it anyway and the onscreen predictor of damage gives me enough info.

Warsaw was a bitch.
Just because I was winning the AI went nuts and killed 3 of my best core units. Warsaw was a bitch, I demand retribution.

An opinion from one that has restarted the vanilla campaign now after months of dlc ( note: vanilla campaign v1.5 is very different from the original one...), DLC are a great evolution of the game, and one big differece is in the timing of your strategy, in vanilla campaign you must hurry to get victory, in DLC you must think, not hurry at all, for the most of scenarios you have enough time to do everything without hurry, and ... reading with attention the briefing is now also a must.

To be quite honest, I keep playing the DLC only. I like building up my core slowly. The scenario design is great. And most of all, I don't have the time pressure of the original campaign. Certainly I will continue the "original" campaign one day. But right now it is DLC! I am close to the end of the 41 campaign by now (Vyazma) and very much looking forward to 42 and so on...!
