Frontline near Moscow still holds - we deffinetely will not lose city before winter hits, also noone even approach Leningrad area, so the place is our aswell. I am not sure that the price will be acceptable , but its already too late to turn back.
Our plan in the south was discovered and countered with massive axis assault - lost a mech unit there, while axis left Maikop-Krasnodar area and will need to capture it back if ever.
Still Stalingrad should hold for a while

Your northern defence line looks brittle. I wouldn't be surprised if Morris trashed your units there and encircled Moscow.

It didnt happen for the entire summer, why should it happen now?

I agree with Plaid. By the looks of it Morris has pulled back for the winter. Morris has one 1-turn left of guaranteed fair weather and due to the fog of war doesn't know Plaid's strength there. If he was planning an attack he'd likely have his air units more forward to recon the area. He doesn't and his front line units are depleted infantry and mech corps.

judging by the comments from Morris with my turns I would say that he no longer thinks the Caucuses is a good idea

Actually bad things happen, and germans are on full offencive in late september.
We have no choice but to hold the line. Its now crucial to hold at all costs, as germans lose expensive armoured and air steps every turn attacking entrenched units in forest terrain, while we lose stock corps and garrison units, which are still useless in any sort of offencive.
Also it will be just stupid to let germans have any key object (Moscow or Stalingrad) now, after all troops sacrifised to save them.
Germans are exhaused and suffer heavy casualties for little gains. Hopefully my 1942 campaign will make it count.

Now it is October and it is still fair, which is quite sad fact.
We lose more and more steps and units, but only cheap ones (corps/garrison). Mostly it is because all other units are mostly lost alreadt, but still... We get that free guardsmen soon enough.
Stalingrad front doing good by the way. Germans achieved little here and just lost a tank, which tryed to cross Volga south of city.
Hopefully November will not be fair atleast.
P.S. Also I think that paratrooper holding attack of several corps and garrison units and battleship for ~3 turns (thing going to die next turn for sure!) is a bit overkill. Not like I care about dozen PPs, which it cost me, but it just start to make little sence, troops without heavy weapons will be overran by regular infantry in no time, no matter how "elite" they are, arent they?

Its now winter weather, but axis are still on full offencive.
Why? I have no idea. They just lose lots and lots of steps for little gains. Looks like Moscow will be conquered anyway, but in spring, not now.
In Stalingrad area german offencive stopped, so we will keep city for winter aswell.
Syberian elite troops arrived this turn, we will apply them to fix things around Moscow a bit during severe winter.

Another turn of winter axis offencive :
We trapped one corps near Leningrad and some others will be in trouble in Moscow area.
In the south situation is quiet now, germans fall back a bit.
USA joins the war.

Severe winter arrived, meaning more problems for axis.
Not like we achieve something great, but killed few units here and there.

Winter in progress and we keep inflicting damage on germans
Since we kept all key objectives USSR have healthy PP income ~150, built all labs and will be able to draft dozens of corps units to keep axis busy in summer, while western allies will do their job.
Here they are by the way : 5 US TAC units and some support troops (HQ etc) are being shipped at the moment.
German fleet just stand still in french ports, I even spotted all 3 subs and keep hitting them with FTR and TACs every turn, noone bother repairing them.
I also have some US armor ready for transportation, but maintaining this transports already costs me ~80 PPs /turn, so they will be sent later.
I believe we will have solid invasion force which will either force Morris to change his plans or see France liberated in 1942 completely. (After seeing what happened with Spain in AAR vs Duncan I think he may choose second option).

Why do you transport Tacs instead of flying them over? Save PP's and time by flying.

They should be all in place in March and better with raised by HQ effectiveness.
Its way beyond airway capacity. Also I am not sure if they have range to fly there with current strategic upgrade.
Strategic bomber using that way at the moment.
I deployed all bombers near ports, so they embarked on first turn it was possible.

Better watch your Soviet manpower. Taking the massive losses you've had, it's going to be tough to stay above 75%, even for the Russians.
About the invincible paratrooper. Think about the defense of Bastogne!

Well, soviets are near 75% manpower, but germans are already below.
Siege of Bastogne lasted for one week only, not for 3 month, also they were very close to other allied troops, not hundreds of kilometers away, which we see here.

This is another downside of Morris not building more submarines and using them as an active heavy.
The western Allies don't need to bother with building more naval units and can focus on more air and ground units. The transports can sail across the Atlantic with no fear of being sunk. That means the Allied offensive can start earlier.
When I play as the Allies I build a healthy number of naval units so I can escort all my transports. That means a later offensive, but my transports will always be safe.
So I believe it's very important for the Axis to be present in the Atlantic with 6+ subs with some tech upgrades. The Allies should fear the wolfpacks so you need to use them to attack convoys and strike against transports.

Here is a picture showing axis manpower problems.
Also here is casualties picture.
Red army is bleeding indeed, hit 75% manpower. Hopefully germans will start to crumble before USSR surrender... On the other hand this forum misses AAR with USSR surrender, so good point to share anyway.

Another update :
Whatever, western landings started.
If Morris commit major german force (which he never did in recent AARs) it going to be major disaster for allies. Otherwise we are going to overrun weak italian and minor units with out huge airsupport.

I had noted, that when I play with skilled allied player I cant use my german subs properly anyway, no matter how many I have. Allies get their DD system working by mid - 1941 and get bomber cover, so convoy attacks cost axis more than it gives. When you get 2 destroyer attacks and bomber hit its really unattractive to touch that convoys. Only chance is to set a trap and make convoy run into it during its own turn, so you will not get destroyer hit. Downside is that you always risk to catch destroyer instead
