Demetrios wrote:The Roman Senate announces: "Stratos, envoy of Nicomedes of Bithynia disclosed worrying news. Over the past months the south eastern regions of Bithynia have already been looted by Galatian raiding parties.
But now a huge Galatian army invaded Bithynia." The Roman Senate agreed upon sending a Roman Army to support our allied and friend of the Roman people, Nicomedes of Bithynia.
Who will take command to defeat the Barbarians ? ( 1 point for completing the battle, 3 points for a victory )
-SPQR-
Senatus populusque Romanus, the Fluminialii will answer the call.
Galatia delenda est.

So, you will put up 1 'quest/question/riddle' at a time and whoever posts first will get the 'assignment? That sounds good to me. Please remember when posting these that some of us are asleep when you are awake and vice versa

Maybe having a 'controller' for each band of time zones might be an idea? That way, there is a fairer distribution of assignments?

Hi Keyth,
what did you mean by "controller" ?
We will put up many challenges. Those who are already engaged, can“t qualify for another assigment at the same time.

I bring word of victory from Bithynia. Nicomedes, our steadfast ally, was given command of the left wing of our army while I took command of our legionaries on the right.
The numberless foe, screaming their barbaric shouts, fell hard upon the Bithynian contingent which buckled under the assault. It is unclear at the present time why, but Nicomedes felt the need to retreat to a safer position some distance from the battlefield. Despite his absence, the brave yet ill-equipped Bithynian soldiery were able to keep lancers and chariots at bay until Roman cavalry arrived to stabilise the flank, though the price in blood was high.
On the right, some of our auxiliaries were roughly handled but our legionaries stood firm and destroyed the Galatians in bloody combat. While the cost in lives for this victory is heavy, the majority of our legionaries have survived.
[Edit: can I donate points to the navy even though I was off Legating?]

I will heed the call of the Republic and am willing to assume the command of the second army in Bythinia. (Is replying here the right way to do this?)

The citizens in the streets of
Roma are proud to hear of your victory. They request a screenshot of the defeated Galatians.

Perhaps you can task your scribe to find one among the few surviving Galatians who is familiar with this arcane art? If not, I will have my scribe deliver the secret to you in a private message.

I have seen (1) one assignment up for assignment, It might help us if the future assignments that we can 'bid' on (for lack of a better word) be in a different color (Red for Rome would be good). Thanks!!
