Test audiences didn't seem to like 60 frames though, they told the movie looked "too real, too documentary"

Whoa! Troll!!!!

Dude, we're gonna need bigger guns...
Did you see the new trailer for The Hobbit? Interesting peek at Rhadagast the Brown.
BTW, Trollhunter was a guilty pleasure for me and a definite first day buy.

Hello guys, this is the troll
I am just surprised that hobbits are not in one of the 100's hobbits forums so let's go : here is an hobbit story
Hitler just after suicide goes to hell. Surrounded by flammes, Satan welcomes him with a big smile. "You're doing a big job on earth, I prepare you a particulary burning room". The mustache of adolf begins to burn indeed but he sees many clock towers behind Lucifer, with names on them. From time to time, a needle makes a complete turn on some of these. "master , what's the clocks are in a place like this ?". Stan respond : "each clock is related to one guy on earth or somewhere else, and each time that person masturbate , the needle makes a turn". Hitler takes a better look. "But I don't see the Bilbo clock here, I liked bilbo the Hobbit very much when I was young". Stan : " Oh Bilbo, and all the hobbits clocks are in my office, they serve me as ventilators"
And I hope we will soon see topics about Barry Farter, Konnar the Tartarian, Michael Jackson & Nike shoes, it lacks here
have a good day, sincerely
kokkor

Did anyone actually watch it already and wants to share if it's good or not?

I loved it and can hardly wait for part 2! Will see it a couple more times... The HFR took some getting used to but ended up prefering it to 24fps flicks

Well, be warned: The film lasts almost 3 hours !
I'm already anticipating the Director's Cut !

My wife and I saw it in a 3D cinema and absolutely loved it. Bilbo is a very different kind of hobbit to Frodo and Samwise from LoTR (he doesn't cry!) and there is a lot more humour than LoTRs, too. I highly recommend it. The director's boxed sets at the end of The Hobbit will be massive if the ones from LoTR are anything to go by. They were 11 hours, so these could easily exceed that! Get a comfy chair, a big screen with pumping sound and kick back - can't wait.

Now, "The movie to see" if it were made would be the screen version of National Lampoon's "Bored of the Rings." I nearly died laughing reading that thing!
