Can someone please give me a link explaining the new mod systems (MOD dir, since 1.04?)
There's a guid.txt in the zip file, but no docu whatsoever how to use it.
Docu only covers the old system via GME.
Perhaps a link in the sticky "Common Questions" might be useful ?

Edit: Ok, found the thread, sorry.

huertgenwald, that guid.txt works like a serial number or a ID for the mod. You don't have to do a thing.
You've to enable the mod through GME or copying the files and replacing the originals when necessary.
The new mod system doesn't cover, yet, this kind of mods (cosmetics).

Sorry to hear you're having problems with downloading.
I've just checked and the link is active.
Could you please try with other browser, something must be blocking that site, probably.
Try also this link:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/service/ ... d=21064186
If it doesn't works please report.

I just checked, the gamefront link works properly. When you open the link you usually have to wait 5 seconds and then the download window appears, make sure that it is not blocked by your browser.
I use mozilla, not $$$ IE.

Update for RSM Redux:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/21270139 ... ux_1_1_zip
Around 140 new sounds were added.
I wasn't able to do a change log, because there were a lot of changings. It's true that mostly are new additions for the new mods, but sounds like the bombing attack sounds, were changed and added.
I've replaced the SE/SS sounds for some new ones, and have reduced the number of times which the special movement sound will be heard. I still need some feedback on this matte; I wan to avoid the over usage of those sounds, that may cause a certain saturation when playing. so please if you still thinks is too much, please report.
RSM Redux Sfx:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/21270170 ... fx+1.0.zip
I'm also releasing a SFX pack. This package is a stand alone version. Replaces some of the explosions in the game.
It's optional, because, I sense that some people might not like it.
Copy the files to the "Audio" folder or better use GME.

Is 1.1 fully backward compatible with 1.0? The reason I ask is that I have been using 1.0 with Red Dawn and the sounds have been fine but having changed to 1.1 I have no movement sounds, although I do have combat sounds. RD uses a custom efx.pzdat, which I load using the GME after loading the RSM.
Edit: I do have some movement sounds still but lack about 75% at a guess.
Edit: Looking at the contents of the folders in 1.1 I think I've worked it out - 1.1 is to be *added* to 1.0 rather than *replace* it?
Edit: Like it says in the first post of this thread!

:facepalm
