flakfernrohr wrote:Wings, you are really the first smart A** I have encountered on this forum. Everyone else is courteous and helpful. Since you have NOTHING constructive to say, why don't you just lose your insecure attitude of superiority when you come here?
Ironically the only one who sounds insecure is you, because you seem to be unable to cope with criticism, which as a matter of fact IS constructive. All you've done so far is dragging this into a personal level, while ironically preaching about being constructive, courteous and helpful.

Installing something like this 4 times is just in general (read "in general") asking for trouble, period. That is not me trying to sound superior, it's me giving you an advice based on my 24 years of working in he IT.

Wings you offered NOTHING CONSTRUCTIVE, ONLY RIDICULE. No matter, I will share my mods and such with everyone on the forum, including you. 24 years in IT doesn't teach courtesy and good manners I see.

flakfernrohr wrote:I downloaded this update some hours ago and the new units are not in the graphic units folder. I guess something happened. Also curious to know if the download will go to all the different PzC installations on my computer, I have four seperate ones.
I just freshly installed 1.05, and the units have been placed in my UNITS folder correctly.
KV-85.png for example is definitely present.

Since you have multiple directories where you installed Panzer Corps, you will most likely need to guide the installer to each directory separately. The installer only detects the most recent directory that Panzer Corps has been installed to.

Because you installed the game 4 times, you will need to run the update once (this should auto detect the 4th install), and then run the installer 3 MORE times, each of these times you will need to guide the installer towards the correct directory.

Does that help/make sense?

I assume you have multiple install directories to organize your mods and other people's mods, such as the Afrika Mod.

So before you install the patch to these extra directories, make sure you back up and custom work you've done in those extra directories, just in case. 1.05 has more equipment file changes, for example, and that may overwrite some of the work you've put into the separate directories.

The best way to preserve any work/changes made to the equipment.pzdat file is to:
1. Back up your work and modified equipment file.
2. Install the 1.05 update.
3. Copy paste your modded/custom lines into the new 1.05 equipment.pzdat file.

This will ensure that your game will run smoothly for all existing and official content (stock campaign or DLC both), and should allow you to simply 'apply' your changes/customization to the most up to date version of the equipment file.

Are you having issues with the new units, Flakfer?

I'm too.
Thanks VPaulus, You are always a helping hand. Yes, I have updated all the games on my computer (which has mulitple hard drives). The Log sheet for updates show the individual games are updated. The individual games have different equipment lists (mods), unit graphics (mods) and terrain (massi mods) and one is completely as the original game. I had not installed ANY updates in any game from when I first got the game in the summer. I began modding with maps and was afraid I would run into problems, so I left things as they were.

So the first update I installed was 1.05. I can go to the games individually either in the Equipment Editor or the Scenario Editor and cannot find the new terrain tiles nor the added units. So I don't know where the little glitsch is. Something simple I am sure, just escaping me.

Probably your Windows registry have the answer.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Slitherine\PanzerCorps
In the key PanzerCorps_PATH you'll find probably the place where it was updated.

But if I were you I wound unistall evrything, and install it again, using this time GME for all yopur PzC installations.
It's very easy to use. PM if you need help.

Ok, this is my last response to you.
flakfernrohr wrote:doesn't teach courtesy and good manners I see.
The irony...

flakfernrohr, I have never attacked you on a personal level, yet it's you who lacks any "courtesy and good manners" when you decided to insult me in public on numerous occasions and the fact that you edited your previous post to remove these insults to make yourself look better when you wanted to preach about "courtesy and good manners" is quite... oh well...sigh

Nothing more to add.

It should have come with the patch. But it seems to still be encrypting custom missions.
So, will we have an update? I don't know. Only Rudankort can answer.

The latest version of the editor is most definitely included in the 1.05 download.
I believe the file says the modified date is December 1st.

Yup.
All the new units are in the editor, and so are the new hex markers.

The KV-85 is amazing, and it's 10x more awesome with German colors and markings. We won't see that unit show up until DLC 1943, but until then people can enjoy it in their own custom content as well as in the multiplayer maps, both old(The Frozen North), and new(the 4 new ones we got with 1.05).

iainmcneil wrote:It's not officially announced yet - thats coming later today but you can check for updates and grab 1.05.

The main changes are:
- 4 new MP maps
- Added a number of new Soviet units - IS1, KV85, BS3, 85mmM1939, Soviet guards, Soviet SMG and Soviet conscripts
- New layer in the tileset used for custom hex markings
- Fixed a number of strings issues in English and German versions
- Fixed window mode turning on by itself occasionally
- Various other bug fixes
Ahemmm..... What new units are these ? Seems to me conscripts and guards were already in , no ?

Yes Soviet Guards and Conscripts, were already in the game.
But not IS1, KV85, 100mm M1944, 85mmM1939 and Soviet SMG.
Besides you've also some new captured units.

I'm not at home so can't check right now, but when I had a quick look at the new MP maps I'm pretty sure that at least one of them had some other soviet infantry (1943 version?) in it than mentioned in this thread so far. So I think there's more than just the new Soviet SMG troops as far as Soviet infantry changes are concerned?

Not sure, but wasn't there talk about something like Soviet Marines? Or maybe they just meant some of the new inf type included with "like", it was't really clear.
