About the scenario settings, unless you changed that in 1.04, the setting you make in the editor doesn't apply to newly purchased core units in a campaign - campaign units ALWAYS come with 0 stars, regardless when you purchase them. Or am I missing anything?
No you are not, and I already explained the situation in my reply to El Condoro. Yes, for now, campaign mode and scenario mode work differently.
Ah, I apologize Rudankort, I skipped over that post. Like I wrote, if you can add this without too much effort, it'd be a nice-to-have at some point, that's all.

An adapted PeG system?
You could reinforce with green, veteran or elite replacements.
Green would be the now regular PzC replacements.
Veteran would be half-experience reinforcements.
Elite would be the now elite PzC replacements.

that sounds interesting cause it might solve a lot of issues with PP - maybe the veteran can be used untill overtstrength and is less expensive then the elit and elite just needs to be used for overstrengthening an unit?

I suggest you to play on harder levels: I always gave elite replacement for my units an even at USA I had almost not 5 star units (maybe one or two). Plus, I had not the prestige amount to overstrenght all units - even not on 13, or so!

Many times Exp gain is a very important consideration when choosing which unit to attack which target. Right now I still don't know the specifics of how experience gain is calculated, and when you get the bonuses.
