Just as a clarification:

I don't use commercial 3d models at all. I do use sometimes free models offered at some websites since they are simply great time-savers. However, quite often they don't have what you want for free download, but then I'm absolutely capable of modeling my own units. I use both free and selfmade models for unit gfx.

Now I hope we all can concentrate on the fun part again.

Ok, just a short question: please look at the little pic - what would you prefer, the "empty" unit as shown on the left, or the one with driver and machine-gunner? Personally I'd prefer the latter, but since the "open" stock units like halftracks etc are all without crews it would be inconsistent.

ETA should be at the weekend.

Empty, just because of the reason you pointed.
Great work!

My personal choice - the one with the crew, but both look awesome. Great work!

One more vote for empty, also because of consistency.

But that unit looks really great bebro - hopefully we'll see lots more from you in the future. 8)

I prefer the empty simply because stock units have no drivers or machinegunners either. Don't get me wrong, both are really looking great.

Well, I can't bring myself to leave out the version incl. crew so I'll probably provide both versions. That is just for the on-map unit, for the big UI version I'll just keep the empty one

Hey, thx - but what kind of stuff are we talking about here? I'm always interested in expanding my collection of 3d models :)

Aside from this I'm happy to report that the unit factory is ready to roll out the first units. Unfortunately gamefront doesn't let me upload right now (can't get the page to load properly), but I hope that will change soon.

If not I'll see to host the files somewhere else. First "shipment" will include the M3 scout car and an alternative Soviet truck, a ZIS5 as shown below. I'll drop a message here once they're available.

That truck looks great, bebro.
Thanks.

Still no joy with gamefront, their upload page doesn't load fully.

So for now the gfx can be dl-ed here (This will also be edited into the OP):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=M7JUU7I4

Edit: dl works now from there, they just have the silly waiting time for free dl. I'll see to get it to gamefront later

As said, you can choose whether you want to use the M3 with or without crew, both versions are included. I recommend simply to clone FX entries of the M3 Halftrack for the M3 ScoutCar, and those of the Soviet truck for the ZIS5.

We can work together if you want. I'm working at the M1931 Howitzer via Blender rigth now.

I finished the WWII T-50 some weeks ago:

Sounds cool. I'll probably do a Brummbaer next.

Great truck bebro - looks much better than the ZIS from my Spanish Civil War units pack.
Hope you'll allow me to use some of your units in the PGClassic campaign, eventually.

Hey, you have some very nice units here, thanks for making them. I was wondering whether you're planning on making any horse-drawn transports for ART, AT guns, etc?
