Pacing back and forth across the room....
Hmmmm.... I wonder if its out yet..... Pacing across the room....
I know, I'll check the itunes store. Lets see, start itunes, go to store, bring up apps and search for Battle Academy... Ahh, nuts. Don't see it.....
Will continue to wait. Have a great day.
Thought I'd inject a bit of humor here.
Terry
PS. We spent Christmas in London last year. Had a great time. Should have looked for the Slitherine building while we were there.....

Iain's told me its a big white building at the west end of a street called The Mall, west of Charing Cross tube station. Near a couple of nice parks.

I have an ACER with android. I will never buy an Ipad whatsoever. I hope, you will do it for android and notIpad (thoug a bit late). Down with Apple and its integrist limitation!
Another think, is that on tablet, the interest is somewhat to play face to face (no interest with fog of war).

Just signed up for the Beta.
Do we need to need the UDID now or once we get selected?

We only add people to the beta if we have their UDIDs - it saves time

.
Cheers

We add beta testers a few at a time for each version. With the iPad we can only have a limited total number of beta testers unfortunately, so we might not get to everyone. You will be mailed details of how to grab the beta versions as soon as you are added to the testing pool. Note that only people who what emailed in their UDIDs will be added to the beta.
Cheers

I'm happy for the Apple fans I suppose, any time Slitherine and wargaming conquers a previous unclaimed niche for wargaming I suppose it is a good thing.
I am an Android user though and loathe Apple. But I hear Steam has recently just come to my Android using devices, so I suppose this is where I stop making any fuss over Apple hardward, and just go back to asking Slitherine to break down that barrier to bringing their games to Steam.
I loathe Steam as much as I loathe Apple, but I will deal with it, if my games end up on my Tablet regardless of how they get there.
Splashtop is cool for playing games on my tablet without needing to actually put the game ON the tablet, but it doesn't help me if I am not able to communicate with the PC when out of the home. Access is not always an option.
Currently, I'd love to see Battle Academy, Panzer Corps and the up coming almost here title Team Assault on my tablet without needing them to actually be resident on a PC and merely a signal being sent to the tablet.
Maybe all of this will be moot once Windows 8 arrives. but until Windows 8 is actually here, I won't know my options will I?

It's gone a bit quiet on the iPad conversion of BA lately - any idea when it might get to market?
FYI I posted this query yesterday but the post appears to have vanished! Have you still got gremlins?

So what do we get for our money - does the iPad version come packaged with all of the current expansions and do we get a discount if we already own the game on PC or Mac?

The game is packaged the same as PC so you get exactly what you get for PC and the expansions are add ons. Unfortunately apple dont give any system for offering discounts, in fact they completely prohibit any price incentive linked to another purchase. It's something we'd like to do but there is no chance of apple adding any functionality like this in my opinion. You have to look at it like you would an X360 or PS3 game, getting the game on one format doesn't get you the game on another format.

Ok Iain thanks. Shame about the discount.
Have you made the expansions available yet or are they to follow soon?

All the expansions are available at launch. As we launch new ones, they will launch on the iPad at the same time.
