The custom battles are all user built. So when people build their scenarios, and are happy for us to add them, we upload them to make them available for everyone.
It takes some work to build a good, interesting mission or missions, and so there are only a few people happy to have their work made more widely available. But the quality of the missions up there is pretty awesome.
If you want to try your hand at it then there is plenty of help to be had here on the forums. I'd recommend deciding what you want to achieve, and then seeing if there are any existing missions that might make a good starting point.

I unzip the file in campaigns folder, but merr never shows in the campaign list. Bummer, was looking forward to this exciting scenario.

windows 8. I have downloaded all the other scenarios and they work fine. I could never get this one going. when I extract it in the campaign file I get nada.

just to confirm, your putting it in the "...Documents\My Games\BBCBA\CAMPAIGNS" folder?
should look like this...
It sounds like you may have an extra folder level that isn't showing you the campaign.

Thanks morge for your reply, sorry took so long to get back. The only difference between bx. your screen example and what I have saved is an extra Merr_skirmish_v1 at the end. I downloaded it again and replaced so I have 2 Merr_skirmish...
still not sure why it won't show up in campaigns?

As you can see I show it in my list of Campaigns...not sure what else to try at the moment.
