I encountered a more serious bug now. After reloading I decided NOT to spend the 1000 prestige for the italian navy and the game crashed with a black screen.
Nice idea with the desert tiles, will advance to Tobruk now

In France, south of the city hex Tours (25,30) there are two tiles (24,31)(25,31)that look like bridges but do not allow cross river movement.

Nice idea with the italian navy and gibraltar but I guess I leave England alone for now for I would miss africa completely
How did you even get to France, as Fritz mentioned, one of LC's objectives cannot be captured as it has no flag...
Fritz wrote:Well it was actually the Low Countries scenario.
Heh, I figured that one out on my own.

But if you DO spend the prestige, the game takes you to Sealion Plus? Could you send me (upload) your savegame prior to the crash?
As for the desert tiles ... I wasted days trying to create a transition between desert and grass that didn't look totally horrible, but failed.
Then I came up with this idea...
I hope eventually somebody will create better looking tiles for desert and rough desert, but for now, I guess it'll do.

That's odd. Here's a screenshot from the scenario-editor that shows the tiles in question:
Maybe it's a bug with PC that bridges cannot span 2 hexes?
Anyway, I'll update the OP with a new version in a few minutes.
Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it.

hi rezaf,
here is the savegame
http://www.file-upload.net/download-366 ... pzsav.html, crashes only when I click no.
As far as I know a bridge can only cross a straight part of a river and not where two rivers meet and only one hex.
As I wrote above I edited the flags in Low Countries in the editor and replayed the map then and it worked.

Thanks for the file rivvendarke.
I tracked down that bug - in campaign.pzdat, Sealion (40).pzscen and Sealion (43).pzscen are referenced, but the actual files are named Sealion40 and Sealion43, respectively.
I'll fix that bug for the next version, but to get it fixed right now, it's easy to edit the campaign file yourself accordingly.
Thanks for reporting the issue!

I took a look at your modifications.
Mostly flavour stuff, so it seems, like placing the occasional single tree on grassland.
That's fine, but probably best saved until the more severe bugs have been ironed out.
Especially scenarios with coastlines could use some love this way, as I basically only plunked down the basic terrain types and let generate tiles create a map - didn't spend any time smoothening the coastlines and/or make them look more organic.
So, bottom line, I'll gladly incorporate scenarios which have been modified this way, but I'm sure there are more severe issues in some of the maps for now, and the work on such flavour stuff should only come afterwards, to prevent "version differences" between maps modified in different ways.

Thanks for reporting those issues (any my apologies that they happened in the first place) Hetmann, I'll fix this when I get home from work and upload a new version.
I shouldn't require a savegame for either, but thanks for providing one.

Ja, sorry Hetmann, wie oben geschrieben werde ich den Fehler noch heute beheben und eine neue Version hochladen.

Thanks, I'll drop you a line once I feel the campaign is ready for that level of polish.
I hope some people will report back here when they have finished the campaign taking whatever branch, so I'll then know when the most severe bugs have been ironed out.

Here are some news von Mersa Matruh. Problem is that the desert looks like desert (good job here) but the units drive on it like a highway. No supply problems (not your fault, I know, they will add desert sometimes). I guess you should give the allies some more stuff to compensate that. I only needed 14 turns to kill all units an conquer every city while I always wondered where the enemy is. 4,1 is a swamp in the middle of the ocean - maybe a coral reef.
Advancing further and keep reporting

Heh, I'll fix the coral reef, probably a mis-click when opening the scenario. The editor can be a bit unwieldy at times...
As for the deserts ... they're "Clear" terrain for now, except "Rough Desert", which is "Hills". Feel free to suggest a different terrain type and I'll gladly change it.
I'll make updated versions of those maps when PC:Afrika (or whatever they'll call it) is out, but for the time being, I had to work with what I have.

I can not finish the scenario "Low Countries". Allied armies have left, all cities captured (except the one where there is no flag, but it is my infantry).
Notes:
examine the maps carefully. There are problems with the roads (starting in the void or circumvent the city and not go into them, or simply "unattractive" are drawn). I like the original company in PG, I like the PC, but ... Do not hurry.
And by the way, there is a problem with the objectives of the map. It seems that all companies need to "capture Italy."

Great mod rezaf. I'm really enjoying it. Currently, I'm just starting Norway, so I downloaded your newest version since I see that the forward deployment area for planes is supposed to be fixed. However, after replacing the map with the new one, I can't deploy planes anywhere except the southern airfield. I even loaded it up as a scenario and the same thing (newly purchased planes need to deploy at the airfield). Weird, though, since I can bring up the map in the editor and see the deployment zone for aircraft. Oh well, guess my planes will have to start further south since I want to go on with the campaign and see the rest of your work.

I just uploaded v0.12 after you posted this - the missing flag on victory hex issue should be fixed.

Oh, believe me, I know there are issues with the roads. I already spent a LOT of time finetuning them across all 38 scenarios, because there's no "sharp corners" and a few junctions are missing, not all road connections can be displayed properly. If you spot something I have missed, please lend me a hand by pointing out the specific coordinated and map.
Eltare wrote:And by the way, there is a problem with the objectives of the map. It seems that all companies need to "capture Italy."
That's a purely flavour-text bug (and mentioned in the original post). I'll get to it in time, but rest assured it has no effect on the game whatsoever.

That's strange. If you can even see the deployment hexes in the editor yourself, I don't know what more I can do.
Or are you perchance trying to place purchased planes there after the scenario has already started?
That wouldn't work, because these deployment hexes "expire" as soon as you start your first turn.
Otherwise, I'm clueless.

Thanks for making the originals, I've been having a blast. & the Voice over too! Anyhow I had a CTD when beginning a new mission. I will
explain: Decisive Victory(DV)
: Marginal Victory(MV)
: Fail (F)
: Never Happened(NH)
This was my campaign playing path, to the point of the crash.
First two missions in Poland-
1.)DV
2.)MV
Norway
1)NH
Low Countries-
1.)DV
France-
1)DV
2)DV
Sealion 40
1.)MV
Egypt
1)DV
Middle east
1)DV
This is where the crash happens.
After a DV in the Middle East I'm given a choice go for a Sealion 43 or a Caucasus 42? I choose 42
Has soon as i'm taken to the screen and click something is crashes. Now i haven't started it up again so it may be random. Or a problem for this mission.
