With all due respect to your opinion, but I think that's not the right path.
IMO, it doesn't seem good to use the material of SSI, or in fact, use directly material from one source.
Like lordzimoa suggested, the right way IMO, we should gather a group of volunteers and do the work ourselves.
It was just a suggestion and I hoped that perhaps Slitherine has been in contact with the copyright holder of the SSI five star series. Then it this could have been an easier way to do it.

About the documentation - it was only when you explained how many words you were dealing with that I realized how much effort it would have taken.

I agree that it's best to invest your energies in the program itself.

Besides, you guys are very active at this forum. If somebody has a question, they need only ask. :)

Completing the library could be something a modder could do. Modders filled out lots of stuff for the Steel Panthers library and that has many, many more units. I use that game as a military encylopaedia now and it would be a great basis to work from but it doesn't feature so many air units. Personally I'd prefer to see the developers tweaking and working on new content for the game.
