At this point we have set no date yet, as usual as soon as possible.

I though he was talking about the date for the beta. The official site talks about the 15/02/2012, is it still actual ?

We sure hope so, no release is no sales is no revenue... But we want the game to be top and stable, so bad luck for everyone involved, especially ourselves.
The game is taking much longer to get done, I wished we would have never announced it so early, a mistake from our side and one we hope never to repeat.
Once we hit Beta, it should be a matter on 8-10 weeks before release and we really hope to go into Beta before X-mas.

Wonderful news Tim. Thanks.
And yeah Thezis, I do believe I misread that. Sorry about that.

This is going to be great, I think. Slitherine and The Lordz make up a good team. CEAW's engine is a bit bad (long loading times, waiting for AI turns, jerky movement of units), but the engine of Panzer Corps is pretty good. I think a game with an engine by Slitherine and The Lordz, a mixture of Panzer Corps and Commander - Europe at War set in a WWI scenario will be extremely awesome, especially because I've always been interested in WWI, and there's no really good WWI game yet. Huge opportunity!

Just for the record:
CTGW uses a complete new Lordz engine, new code from scratch, new AI, new scripting, it is even written in another computer language, So technically CTGW has zero 0% overlapping with CEAW.
Hence one of the reasons why the game has taken much longer to develop.

Ready to join the Mac beta test team, Sir! Kill, kill, kill. That's my philosophy, Sir!
Uh, I'll be lurking for a Mac version announcement.

Thank you for inviting me to be a beta tester for what looks to be an outstanding game. I will be posting my comments. Please take them as one reviewer's suggestions. I welcome any feedback or contradictions to my opinions as posted.
Personally, when you first came out with your Napoleonic game, I knew that this would be a good engine for WWI.
I'll do my best.
Best Regards,
RickAllen

Thanks but remember all beta feedback must go in the private beta forum!
