Bought Panzer Corps Gold 1.3 on gog.com. There is a question regarding the mechanics of suppression. I noticed that if I suppress AI units with artillery or strategic bombers,
then they remain suppressed on their turn, even after I have left. But if the AI suppresses my units, then immediately after the end of the AI turn, the suppression is removed
at my turn. In my opinion, this is unfair and generally looks like a bug. I'm right ?

PzC mechanics are unfortunately sometimes a bit "unfinished" or not really balanced.
A whole PzC turn consists of
1. Attacker semi-turn
2. Defender semi-turn
in that order. Then comes the next full turn.
But the player is usually the attacker. This may have negative consequences for the attacker as well. Eg the defender has the final movement option for retaking objectives, during each full turn.

Probably, you are right, thanks.
Perhaps a good example of what you said is that reinforcements for the attacker remain suppressed during the defender's turn.

However, it is strange that the multiplayer community did not raise this issue. For them it is probably more sensitive than for single player lovers.

what is the issue? how do you know the enemy remains suppressed on his turn? i have never encountered anything like this, all suppression evaporates after first attack or on beginning of turn, whatever comes first.

First, by color of number below of enemy units. Secondly, by passive behaviour of such units.

Noticed that in fact the AI's suppression persists not only during its turn immediately after the artillery fire, but also during the player's turn (already the next one!). This is definitely a bug.

I don't know it this has been answered yet fully, but here's my explanation.
Long term supression is delivered by: Artillery, Naval ranged units, Strategic Bombers.
It last until the end of the half-turn OR until the next "melee attack" the supressed unit receives.
Attacks made by artillery, Naval units and aircraft, even if they don't deliver their own supression (fighters, tactical bombers, destroyers etc.) do not count as melee.
Scenario 1:
Your artillery hits a 10-str infantry unit and does 2 damage and 3 supression. The enemy unit now has 8 str and 3 supression.
Your tank attacks that infantry and does 5 damage. The enemy unit now has 3 str and 0 supression.
Since your tank makes a "melee" attack, this attack "uses up" the long term supression that was applied by your artillery hit.
Scenario 2:
Your artillery hits a 10-str infantry unit and does 2 damage and 3 supression. The enemy unit now has 8 str and 3 supression.
Your tactical bomber attacks the same infantry and does 5 damage. The enemy unit now has 3 str and 3 supression (zero chance to fight back).
Your destroyer attacks the same infantry and does 1 damage. The enemy unit now has 2 str and 2 supression (supression can't be higher than total str of unit).
Since the tactical bomber attack and destroyer attacks werenot melee, long turn supression is not "used up" by their attack.
Your tank can now freely attack and destroy the unit, as it has no chance to fight back. If the infantry survives, after this attack it will have 1 str and 0 supressed.
EDIT: Long-term supression does *not* carry over to opponent's half-turn. If you supress an enemy unit for 5 supression points during your own turn, after you click end of turn, that unit will have 0 supression. Thus, supression needs to be "used" during your own turn as a means to damage the enemy unit for more damage than it can deal in return. It has no other use (well, apart from draining ammo and fuel by using strat bombers). You can't "cripple" opponent's unit efficiency during their half-turn by pre-supressing them during your turn.

I agree that it should be so. And so it was when I played version 1.0. However, in version 1.3 I see something different (what I described), and it looks like a bug.

Maybe i'm wrong and in fact suppressed AI units are due to reinforcements only.
