Thank for your comment,HBalck, I have, in fact, most models of the period,
but it'll certainly miss somes units ....
I find your units very good, I have followed for some time the progress of your project on matrix website,
if you put units available, it would be really neat.
the hardest to find, it is the infantry units, I will probably have to work back with poser .... and create myself.

I am an "artist" 8) with a passion for wagame and hexagons.
i use ArmA2 for personal use.
I have made many experiments, I made up for 3 ZunTzu boardgame game box, in modern warfare and are full of graphics: D
I find Panzercorps a good base to create even tactical/operational games.
here's some my old wargame example:

I think you could use and make a wonderful mod with those addons from ArmA. They just look fantastic.
I think you should ask permission and make a mod. ArmA's community, is in general, very nice.
It could be a great cold war mod.
I don't doubt your artistic skills.

I am working on some other projects yet, but you can talk with Gary Childress - he produced some very very good animated Infantry units for WW2 and modern war.

I can do this also, but now I spend my time only for the WW2 things. Later I will set some units for WW3 - np.

HBalck, Yes, I know these units,
I am civilization fan, I am also inspired by some units created by various Civ3 modders for somes of my infantry units,
the problem is that the units are not in 3D...it would be interesting if i could have the 3D models ....

I do not understand the meaning of "harm BTW?" .. sorry
ArmA2 is not my art, I know.
mine was just a simple experiment to display graphics in the game, simply.
was just an idea HBalck

I do not want to interfere with your genuine graphics project

Thank you for all your comments,
HBlack, your screenshots remind me of many memories,
I have long hoped you release this mod ....
Here, as requested , two screens of units in action on a game Map ...
Some improvements are already needed,
as center some units ...and change the contrast of some units,
but I'm pretty happy with the results ...

I've notice one thing with the originals done by The Lordz, Nick.
The shadow is different. The sun come from a right source light, maybe 45º (I can't judge).
The left image is not a perfect mirror of the right one.
Could you try do the same, or is much work?
I know that you don't intend to be a copy of their work. Only I bet the maps were designed with that in mind and you can't have more than one source of light in the same battlefield. The sun is always at the same place.
I pick up such details, but otherwise it's really, really good job.

Your images look a little too large. Over lapping hexes too much.

I wonder what it looks like with allot of units next to each other.
