Have a look at the Help pages - units have to pass a "complex move test" to end their looting of the camp and the obtaining of their victory points.

true, but 3 complete turns without accomplishing anything seem a bit too much... myself have just won a victory because the enemy looted my camp but did not get the points... (1 turn only, though)... this is another aspect of the game where the luck factor is exceedingly strong

Hello macnab, you'll have to play with your Condotta armies for the tournament if you don't mind. I will try to come up with something on a German theme at some point because they are an interesting army.
