Thanks very much to Peter Cross and Terry Shaw for organising the Ancients competition at the weekend.
I had 4 extremely enjoyable games including 2 against new opponents - so thanks also to Rob, Terry, Peter & Graham - all played in a great spirit.
I really enjoy the format of the varaiable points - hope it's on offer again next year?

In 15mm, Pete Dalby and Graham Evans joint first with Pete edging it. A point behind were Terry Shaw and myself in joint 3rd.
Thanks to my opponents who were Pete Dalby, Peter Card, Keith Martin Smith and David Cutner.
A crazy game against David at the end where I had 100 points extra and David's play plus the dice gods almost won him the game. The win may have possibly given him the overall tournament win if he'd made it.
I felt honoured that both Pete and Keith put their 900 points on the table against me!

I would be keen to know the point mis match battle reports too? Or at least the scores with mismatched points noted somehow.

I have them all for the past two years as well Dan. Last year saw the first army rout of a 900pter by a 700pter.
Glad people enjoyed it and it will definitely be on offer next year with some developments I have in the pipeline. Tx to Terry for subbing for me admirably this year. And goodness he came close to winning it.
What was the 25mm result. I believe young Byron won it.

Yep.
2nd place I am afraid has fallen out of memory!
Followed by Richard Jeffrey-Cook with the "it's mid table really but we'll glorify it as a podium finish" prize
