I painted a map with the carryover locations and drifted off the playing edge. 2 squares were outside the line. In the carryover battle I received two units in those squares. I was not able to move them into the play area.

Just an FYI to warn people not to place the locations off map.

Also, will depleted units carryover depleted? A squad of 5 that is down to 2? Will it remain 2?

No, I don't think. It will recover to full strength I believe.

I've played two battles of the BF campaign. The panzerbusche has worked better than I remember. I really like the reverse button.

I made a test map for my campaign, added some carryover units. I can't get the popout to appear in the second battle. Do I have to have carryover units on that map too?

I forgot about Open Office and ruined my csv so I get to start over with that...

I found a freeware for csv that worked

http://download.cnet.com/Tabular-Data-E ... ag=mncol;6

I still can't figure out how to get the carryover popout to appear.

EDIT started a new thread for carry over discussion.

crtl + left click is not bringing up the info panel.

The info panel works with the Normandy Skirmish but not with my campaign.

I found a thread I started about the info panel.

I copied the UI files to my UI folder and text1 text to my text1. I'm still missing something.

It should work with anything, as there aren't any special files added to all the existing campaigns.

I'll need to take a look in the morning to see what files could be causing an issue. You could look at whether you have copied in an old version of HELPERS.BSF though, as the MOUSE_CLICK_HANDLER function deals with showing the info.

Cheers

I had a crash this morning while testing Banzai. I added text to the tool tip then loaded a saved battle from the load button. After testing I surrendered the battle which took me to the battle selection screen. While the text was loading I clicked the play button and got the error popup.

The error log shows this

I removed the 3 UI files from my campaign UI folder and tried again, same crash with slightly different error log

I removed all the scripts from the Data\Battle\Scripts except my custom ones.

Started a new custom campaign battle. Played a partial turn and exited without saving. Checked the error log. Nothing there that I don't know how to fix.

I get an error about wav

WARNING: TOO MANY SAMPLES: Failed to load sample data\sounds\GER0021TARGETELIMINATED.wav

Followed by many of the same warning for other wav files.

I have a SP Bofors in my campaign and I see this error although the battle works

Playing as: 0

Mail me your campaign Junk, and I will see what is happening, I can't repeat anything like this here.

Thanks a lot

I installed the 1.3 update.

I loaded my autosave and the second battle. No crash and my depleted core force was in the carryover zone as designed.

I just discovered another shortcut on my desktop, BA Beta. I have been using the shortcut to BA Test. I'm pretty sure that I used the older shortcut to test the campaign yesterday so I'm not sure why it worked now.

I expected the update to overwrite the previous files, not create a new install.

Edit If I start the new install, I cannot load the saves or when I start my campaign, there is no saves listed for the first battle.
I'm pretty sure that when I ran the installer I received an warning and clicked yes to all to replace files.
Edit again, I ran the installer again and didn't get any warnings so I must not have yesterday either. I have no idea why the campaign worked yesterday when that version was not updated.

It was not intentional but somehow the previous installer had gone missing so we had to rebuild the beta and didnt have time to reverse engineer the settings to make sure they were all teh same in the previous build.

Apologies for the confusion!
