I imagine that Mike should be done with my Clash of Empires job by late December to early January, then the infantry will be made, then the rest of the stuff, followed by the Spanish TYW models.
So we have to wait until March to order TYW foot?
The bad news is, yes.
The good news is, when you do order them, you will be ordering models made specifically to represent German TYW infantry, in their trademark fashions of dress.
The REALLY good news is, the TYW Early-Midwar Germans are being delayed to make a range of eastern Renaissance that no one makes but is a fascinating and colourful army that I am assured will be very interesting on the tabletop too!
And as a matter of fact, as Mike works fast, there's every chance that they will be available before that -- I'm being conservative there.
Stay tuned!

Good as Livonians/Germans in the Swedish army as well, and as Haselrig's Lobsters.
These are biggish 15s, 18s really, so you can mix them with popular current ranges.
Coming in about 6 weeks.
So I guess in response to my suggestion for a new line of minis when you said"
"....naturally I'm not going to invest thousands of dollars to make incomplete lines of models, in order to help competitors sell their models. " what you really meant was:
"Thats a great idea. I'll apply that principle for the first TYW troops we make"

This is excellent. I am planning to do a German Catholic TYW army around the middle of next year.
Now if there was a "Last Valley" command pack ( The Captain, Graf, Korski ) that would be perfect
Cheers........Geoff

Hey Yeah a "last Valley" personality command pack that would be great.

Another vote for the "Last Valley." I've been selecting and converting figs for some time to put together a LH unit of the LV men.

Mike is going to be very happy to read that! He actually mentioned to me that he wants to make one! It would not be a command pack though, more like personality figures.
Update on the Kurassiere -- the mold and 20 unit sets are on their way to me now.

Will get the basics out first. There are two basic style types that German infantry troops tended to wear from 1618 to about 1635 or so, and we will do those. Then lighter cavalry, and command, and guns. Then probably a set of assorted interesting models that will undoubtedly include the Last Valley chaps. Then the Spaniards, horse and foot, for "Hapsburg Conspiracy" armies like in 1635.
Perhaps a personality figure of Gustavus being dragged by his horse? A popular favourite in Catholic armies, no doubt!

Got the Kurassier castings today! They are lovely, and they are going to be sent off to the painter so I can get them up for sale. They will be sold in a set of 12, commander, trumpeter, cornet, and nine troopers. They are sculpted so that the rear rankers (six) are in reserve poses and the front rankers (command +3) are in action poses.
Coming soon!

Really nice! I like them even better than my Testudo cavalry. I can't wait to see the rest of the range.
(Would love to see some dismounted dragoons and horse holders

)

Very, very nice. I wish they weren't quite so big as nearly all my TYW figs are old MiniFigs and Essex.
