Did they qualify by using Gold?
Of course! :D

Although with so many Knights around this may prove to be a poor choice. :(

I would have thought Mongol would be your worst opponent out of that field.

Depends on its composition but yes - the match ups for this and many others don't look too good do they?

Aztec is a good choice in this pool for a good player ...

A mongol with steppe and no shock mounted is a very poor match up. All the rest will give a reasonable amount of terrain, to jump out at their shock troops from. Almughavars are your only problem in terrain. And whatever terrain they go in you can outnumber them.

But as Nik says for a good player Aztec is a good choice. Perhaps you should have chosen something different Pete

Having used the army only once I am inclined to agree with you Phil - I think I'd be much happier with Ottomans or HYW English.

But we'll see how they get on.

In terms of Kudos it's a win/win though. If you lose then fairplay for having the cojones to give it a go and if you do well then glory will be yours :D

Ottomans, English - PAH! No glass. No feathers. Well, not enough feathers. How would you win with those?

Can't see much for the Aztecs to fear in this bunch.

Except the descendents of the Catalans...although it's slightly curious that the much vaunted SHNC and MCA have now disappeared entirely!
