Looks like this very interesting line of thought died two years ago. Has anyone picked up the gauntlet?

An easy way to get from campaign to tactical and back would be splendid. It would also allow solitaire for us lonely old guys.

I think Slitherine should snap up the idea and tie it in with their digital product. AI for solo battles and campaigns, online digital battles and the ability to upload tabletop results and reports to online campaigns; online rankings; online resources; the tabletop rules built into the package wth a printable QRF and FAQ; that sort of product would sell IMHO and play to the company's strength.

Conceptually easy, but potentially a bottomless resource sucker. It seems the older the code the harder it is to re-remember and patch and debug. Hopefully the new digital code will have handles for it and be sufficiently self-documenting. All I can do is nudge and hope. 'Tis braver folk we urge to battle.
