The Army List book titles were chosen by Osprey, not Slitherine, I believe. There were complaints about most of them when they were first announced, especially about Decline and Fall since this list really covers the high points of Byzantine military history rather than the decline and fall . Personally, I always thought that Immortal Fire should have been Eternal Fire. Would have served the Persian Barbarians right

Ha ha , complaints? Game titles I guess appear to be of high concern to some
Eternal Empire did through me off though, but i could easily have actually read the TT description instead of making assumptions
They all seam like reasonable title descritions to me.
On a side note completely unrelated, RBS has an interesting interview about the upcoming TT FOG REN game at the Wargamer
All kinds of good info on 16-17th century stuff, a good read!

I dont see FoG in the napoleonic period, the actual command system is good for ancient and early musket period but no more, PC FoG need more work.
PD: i prefer some in REN period but next expansions sound fine

I think that after Swords and Scimitars it will be the time for Legions Triumphant.... so Early Frankish, Saxons tribes and Roman Principates ... Vandals and so on...
not that bad

have a look at the games played in IF/RoR/SoA
IF surpasses the others by more than a half. Which means the preference of FoG players leans towards ancient battles, not medieval ones. Slitherine should and most probably would follow this trend for the next addons (as they want to sell as many as they can).

Bet on it that expantions will follow in the order the original books were released.

Does anyone know if it is Slitherine's intention to release expansion packs for ALL the books in due course? At the moment expansion packs are coming out every 3-4 months so the Vikings and Saxons are about a year away on that reckoning.

I imagine any one who actually knows isnt in a position to tell.... That being said i believe the intention is to do so, of course so much will depend on sales/interest as the game ages. I really hope they get thru them all though, some of my favourits are near the end!

Not sure if that statistic means anything on its own, after all IF came out last and people always want to play with their newest toys for a while.
I think there is enough interest in non ancient periods that the way they have the books ordered is a good thing, a nice blend of medieval ancient east west etc

I believe the most important of the remaining ones (excepting Legions Triumphant) is right at the end, the Lost Scrolls with the early republic and conquest of italy

Release of new lists

You all prob know they are working on the new patch, 1.36. This will prob coincide with release of Swords and Scimitars. Thing is if there is a lot of demand they would be releasing these lists so much sooner. Not sure how many people have bought FOG-pc game and IF, SOA, ROR but that is the bottom line, enough demand to make money?
Maybe they should open up a link and or send an email to all listing all of the books/army lists that have been rleased for TT and see which ones would be the favourite choice. Actually that is a pretty sensible idea. Hey Slitherine take note.

Well, every man is a world and with lots of lists (i feel as a children y a toy store hehehe) there are one more interesting than others.
Ask to buyers what want next is a good idea but think that FOG isnt a "closed" game and need lots of work and some features could be needed for an expecific list (terrain for example)... i see first list that dont need extra work (legions triumpant for example) because in vik list see disembarks or movement over water is interesting
I find interesting many list but are others that really don see it in my HD.
