If we decide on some sort of theme can we agree it sooner than later so I can let my son learn with the right sort of troops?

OK, this looks like a goer then.
How about rather than a 'theme' I specify two possible themes to allow players the widest choice of armies then also allow a player who prefers themed games to bring armies for both themes so they can have all their games themed. It would be a bit like FoW comps where players bring an Axis and an Allied army but instead of that players bring a Biblical and a Classical army or some such.

I can probably fit in with whatever you decide. December's far enough away to paint something if necessary.

I'm probably up for this - will have finished the FoG: lists by then
I'd be interested in a 25mm comp if there are enough players, otherwise some sort of theme for the 15mm would be great. You could even see if FoG: interests enough ...

Trains to Manchester seem to always stop at Stockport.
First on a Saturday arrives 08.37, so if the start time is around 9 I can make it.

Themed events would be good any idea what the limit with regard to numbers is.

Yeah. Although that requires an 04:10 start for me
A 10am start would be a tad less extreme.
Put me down as a probable, depending on the yet-to-be-determined dates of Christmas festivities.

I suspect a contingent from Oxford would be tempted,Lynda and I ,Bob so you may get a lift Peter.
Am I alone in thinking that Rob wants his son next to him to make sure he dosn't finish higher than him

,there won't be any that will take advantage of him(your son that is Rob)

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr at you guys !!!
I played Roger tonight and we chatted about my son coming. He thought he wouldn't be up to speed and it may be best for me to enter him and for me to help him where he is struggling. That is better than 2 opponents getting delayed if we both played.

Rob, it is up to you in the end. I have seen under 10 year olds in tournament games and they did OK.

Okay Hammy I'll enter us both seeing as it is free for Jacob as long as his potential opponents don't object to an easy game.
Mind you it never bothered anyone when playing David53!

Stop hiding behind Jacob we all know whos the better player between you two so lets have your excuses now Rob the table was lopsided the sun was shinning or those evil dice were just plain against you.
Ps It'll be nice to see you again at the doubles in Sept.

Someone tell David53 that he is an easy game is likely to get a retort of look at the Britcon result. Now if you want an easy game, I am your man but will not be there, so nah!
As for easy games, I suspect that sometime soon I am going to have to stop avoiding my nearest FoG:AM competition player - David Cutner, I can't dodge him forever to stop him finding out how easy it will be for him to beat me.
