Funny, the game has tank traps but not mine fields and barbed wire.

I find mine fields the most annoying things in games, and also they tend to be too chancy.

Agreed !
Barbed wires, and trenches and 2nd floor in some very high buildings (Church ...) would be interesting too.

I would like more control of the replay function. Right now it just flashes before my eyes.... No chance to see what happened or scroll the time back and see it again. So better control of the Replay.
And off course the option of buying troops before a battle would be nice and make sure that the game always was fresh

Mine field!

Ian answered the question during the beta phase:
"It could be done with scripting but pretty special case and specific. We'd probably need to add some feature to make this easier to do but not for now!"
barbed wire

Ian answered the question too!
"We wont be adding it - you can do if you want!"
What not how?
I think, this will be the next!

Should mortars really be able to bombard from within buildings?

Also you can unload artillery into buildings, very problematical maneuver in the heat of a battle.

What I miss or like to see:
Briefing and ability to choose squad/vehicles for multiplayer.
A way to show me what archivements I had on a given single player scenario.
Sometimes I wish to be able to see my line of fire possibilities for a given unit.

After a battle is finished, I would really like to be able to scan and review the battlefield. As it stands now you watch the replay then are faced with the 'Objective Completed' popup and are taken to the results summary - not very satisfying imo.

This should be displayed in the top left corner? It can be enabled/disabled by pressing the "i" button in that corner.
Sometimes I wish to be able to see my line of fire possibilities for a given unit.
Isn't there a hotkey for that? I never used it so not 100% sure.

Yes, there is. Select a unit, then press 1 on your keyboard to see your LOS.

Aehmmm, I thought that I should read the manual and sometimes it's worth it

Maybe as a 'tip' in the beginning tutorial scenarios?

This is fine too and I have used it but if I scroll trough the scenarios to find the latest, not beaten scenario, it would be nice to see the last success of a previous or a cumulated stat of a previos scenario so that I can see that I was able to score for one archivment every battle but one is still missing

Well, let's be honest, would you have read that either?

How about a surrender button? I have just finished my first game vs. a friend and he wiped me totally of the map. So the last 4 turns was just time wasting.

There is a surrender button. In game, if you click the X in the top corner of the screen it shows the surrender (skull) button.

Any chance we could have the 'send a message to your opponent' screen disabled for hotseat games? Or at least the option to disable it for hotseat games?

I can think of two things
A quit rather than surrender to get out of the game
An undo button for when you have selected the wrong button.

Not sure what you mean by "the wrong button"?
