Pip - allready tried all variants in properties - desktop composition, compatibility etc with safemode on and off - problem still there.

MesaDon - I also had problems posting a screenshot to the Slitherine forum you might want to post a screenshot to this thread http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2540459 in the Matrix forum.

Problem also there in windowed mode (had to run it in a window to get the screenshot) - PS when running in windowed mode it doesn't actually display in a window just uses a proportion of the screen in a fixed location.

Really hope we get a solution soon as everybody who can play the game seems to be having fun.

I will try and get a debug EXE out to you guys later today to try and give me an idea what is going on. I've not turned up any known issues (none that would give the very odd behaviour you are seeing), nor can I turn up any old machines of mine with the appropriate chipset.

Cheers

PMing you with a link to a debug EXE. We might need to go back and forth a little to try and work out what is happening. Don't worry if some of them make it worse... :)

Won't break your install.

Gah - that's not what I expected to see! So all the corruption goes away with that change? I was hoping it would mis-render the text.

Let me try something else.

New zip on the same link. Just let me know if it exhibits the issues.

Thanks

Applied new Debug EXE - posted screenshot on the Matrix forum

Played through the two tutorial scenarios using the Debug EXE and didn't encounter the previous graphical problems

Hmmm - very odd! OK - I will switch some things around and hopefully can work out why it's misbehaving, as it seems to fail only if we try and write the text out twice...

Cheers

Feel ignored on this subject but took a pic (not a real good one) and that should show the extent of my difficulties. Posted on Matrix. Thanks Wolfe.

You're certainly not ignored - I'm working on the problem, but trying to work out a driver bug in older hardware that I don't have to hand is not easy :(.

For now, I'll PM you with the debug EXE link - it seems (annoyingly for me!) to at least remove the worst of the issue. Let me know if it does the same for you.

Thanks

tried the debug.exe link .... game may of started a bit slower, played a few turns and experianced no and I will repeat that no problems whatsoever as previously reported with the graphics ... played clean. Do I always have to start the game with the debug.exe. Nice Job!

You're actually missing the borders from your text, but it's not gamebreaking :).

Hopefully I can work out a way to prevent the issue and keep everything looking as it should.

Updated and ran a few turns and none of the past problems reappeared .... looks like another success story.
THANKS PIP!
For your efforts you win a 72 hour pass from my complaining and whining. :D
