I've had this for a bit, finally got around to actually using it. Might be the single best download I could suggest for anyone to make sure they have available.

I think we will be adding it and a start menu link to the installer. It seems to be fairly robust now.

Like using this but as soon as you have a corrupted MP game on the server it's no good - it's always flashing.
Any plans on improving the way these games are handled? At the moment it's manual and dependant on Iain going in on an ad-hoc basis and deleting them; while he gets some there are others he misses .. hint hint

An issue has cropped up since I purchased BA+BF yesterday (I already had FOG).
The Systray for FOG worked fine, but was not updated for BA so I installed the new Systray from the link in this thread, thereby replacing the old one as it was claimed the new Systray would work for both games.
Now the Systray mentions my new BA turns correctly, but claims I have no new turns for FOG.
I checked and it turns out I *do* have a new turn for FOG.
I had two new turns for FOG 'flashing' in the old Systray, but that stopped when I installed the new one.
I assumed further FOG turns would 'flash' from then on, but that seems not to be the case as the new turn doesn't flash either.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I like the feature and I 'd like it to correctly display new turns for both games.
Or will the problem solve itself once I start new FOG games?
All my current FOG games were started before I replaced the Systray, could that have something to do with it?

Hmmm - that is odd. It's been tested with both. Can you try deleting the temp files that it creates (in My Documents\My Games\Slitherine\TrayTool - actually just delete the whole folder) and try logging in again.
If it's still not working I will take a look - it's on my list of things to revisit and improve if I have a few moments over the holidays.
Thanks a lot

I did as you suggested and deleted what was in the Traytool folder (a file called "INIT". Strange thing was I apparently had to delete the same file twice, but maybe that was because I hadn't closed the Systray yet?...), then logged in again.
Same result: it mentions my new BA turn, but not my new FOG turn (I checked and I *do* have a new turn).
As FOG takes a while to load, checking for new turns manually is a bit of a waste of time, especially if it turns out there aren't any...
So, thanks in advance for looking into this, and enjoy the holidays!

I have updated the tray tool. It should now deal better with lost connections, and also now includes turn notification for War in the East as well.
The tray tool is a tiny app which lives in the system tray (usually bottom right on the taskbar) and will inform you when turns are available for your games. No installation is required, you just run the tool and it will keep checking until disabled, or you can set it up to be part of your system startup - the choice is yours!
Download from the same link

Enjoy!

It would help to have an option to allow a sound chime when a new turn is in.

That hostseat problem still remains.
How else could I fix it?
