Yes you would have a confirmation mail. I imagine you can also look it up at www.findmyorder.com as well, but I'm not 100% sure that works for pre-orders.

strange; I didn't get an e-mail, but I did get a call from the bank asking to confirm the purchase (a new card had just been issued). So you see, the order got the red "denied" text, but then I confirmed it, so now I am stuck in limbo

if the order didn't go through, I'll just do it again, but I don't know how to check. Just tried the findmyorder thing, and it doesn't show up any pre-order. It does, however, show something else, so I am going to e-mail you about it.
